I have difficulties with this practice. Examples: 1. Test performed without telling me. 2. Lab culture sent to uncovered lab instead of lab that my insurance covers so I had to pay for test. 3. No response to my letter and 3 calls over 3 weeks for result of tests; finally got response after 4th call. 5. Incorrect info on patient portal, no correction despite repeated requests. 6. Little time or attention to patient concerns although eager to prescribe chemotherapy. 7. Reception is unwelcoming.

Dr. Bicher's staff is THE WORST! You can NEVER get a hold of anyone when you have questions. Dr. Bicher herself is a very competent surgeon; however, I would never go back because I would rather eat rocks then have to deal with her incompetent staff again. Her Nurse Practitioner, Quinn Lancor, completely lied to me about having talked to Dr. Bicher about where my incisions would be and she gave me completely incorrect surgery prep information - because I don't think she even knew what procedure I was having. When I told Dr. Bicher about this at my post-op appointment, she didn't believe me -- but I have the paperwork to prove it. Additionally, I had my surgery at the Glen Echo Surgery Center and the nurse put the IV into my arm incorrectly (half in my vein, half out), which was incredibly painful.
I kept telling them there was something wrong, but no one listened to me, they did however put the gas mask over my face, but the anesthesiologist didn't turn the gas on right away, so I couldn't breath, and was pretty sure that I was going to die on that table. Everything after that, to my knowledge, went fine -- but the stress and trauma beforehand simply wasn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend.

Staff is rude. First time I called, I was put on hold for 15 minutes. I gave up. I called back the next day and the appointment taker was quite rude. Not sure this is the place for me. I am calling my gynecologist for another referral.

This review is 3 years late but I can't let a good deed go unnoticed. My wife had stage one endometrial cancer and had a hysterectomy and radiation. Dr bicher did an awesome job before, during and after this scary experience. Dr Bicher knows just the right things to tell you when she can see you are scared to death. Highly recommend!

Dr. Bicher is wonderful! She cares deeply for her patients. She takes time to make sure you understand what your test results mean, what the treatment options are and the risks and benefits of each option. I would not hesitate to send my friends or family members to Dr. Bicher.

Difficult to reach anyone by phone. Had to give $500 deposit for surgery and a month later still no insurance claim so out of pocket amounts not reported. Gave me another patient's info (her name and type of cancer). Released medical records without telling me to an unauthorized disability group. Surgeon is good, staff is horrible.

I had a surgery with Dr Bicher. She and her staff are very professional and knowledgeable. If you are looking for an excellent surgeon go to her. I received the best care from her, her staff and Fairfax Hospital.

I believe I am still here because of this surgeon. I am 3 years past surgery for grade 1a, stage 1 uterine cancer. She has a busy practice and has a direct and focused manner. She's not effusive or especially warm/fuzzy but she conveys a deep interest in her patients and a profound commitment to women's health that made me feel safe. I was always aware of many other women patients in the waiting room and treatment areas who were less lucky than I, and I would never have wanted to take more time than I needed from the doctor or staff. But I never felt short-changed, and it's the first place I would suggest for any friend there with gyn-oncology issues.

I'm sure that Dr. Bicher (and God) saved my life from ovarian cancer (2005). She was extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring every time I saw her -- pre-total hysterectomy, on the phone to explain the pathologies, and for each of the visits.

Staff is terrible. Residents with awful bedside manner; which they learn from the Dr. herself. Took 6 hours to get discharged from the hospital. Would not recommend to anyone.
