I have known this Dr. for many years. professionally, personally and as a pt. He is a brilliant man and a great surgeon. He went into this profession to help people. With every decision re: pt care there was never any malice, always what he thought would benefit the pt. As a pt. I knew I would be taken care of so i could concentrate on my recovery. I also worked with him in surgery and his skills are above most surgeons i have worked with. Due the litigiousness of our society, no tort reform and very little recourse for our Dr's and people like many who have commented on this thread, in the very near future their will not be anyone going to medical school. We will be short of physicians. Many good MD's are getting out of the practice simply because it is not worth the fight. Look around, many of the large trauma centers have already closed. Dr. Ash is a very kind and knowledgeable physician. This community was blessed to have him but were to ignorant to realize it.

Dr Ash is a quack. I went to his office having severe abdominal pains and had a temp. Dr Ash was very rude to me and barely checked me, his only interest was to give me prescriptions and get me out of his office. I waited 45 minutes for him. He along with his nurse smelled of strong cigarette odor. 1 day later I was at Northeast Georgia Medical Center with a ruptured appendix and this man was a surgeon..Dr. Ash should have his license revoked and his office closed.

Dr.Ash diagnosed me with breast cancer, gave me my choices of treatment to choose, and did 2 surgeries on me. He was very kind and compassionate and all weant well. He did tell me when he pulled the tube out of my arm it would feel like a bandaide coming off, no it hurt. But guess he had to say that. But overall he was a good Dr. to me. I am sorry some have not experienced that, the negative things is hard to believe thats the same guy. He saved my life, and helped me and that I thank him for! Everyone has a right to there own opinion and experiences.

Those with negative reviews here must be mentally challenged. Dr. Ash is a brilliant physician and has provided excellent care for me and my family. He has saved so many lives. It's a shame that someone so caring would have to endure such unfair treatment when in my opinion they are lucky to have even had the opportunity to be cared for by him. Dr. Ash truly cares for his patients. If you are a graduate of Georgia Tech, Medical School, andd National Medical Boards like Dr. Ash, then you can offer a qualified opinion. Did you ever stop and think that he might be a bit more educated than you yet he dedicates his life to his patients rather than the golf course or small town gossip circles. God Bless Dr. Ash. We should be honored that someone with his intelligence and skill still cares for us despite the small town evil gossip he has had to endure.

I really liked Dr. Ash as a personal doctor. He spent a lot of time with me, unlike some doctors do. I use him everytime I get sick. I am currently making him my personal physician. He does his job within the scope of his training and will refer you if need be.

One visit and I was treated effectively. No need to come back repeatedly for "more" medications.

I see a lot of negative opinions of Dr Ash, but as for me he saved my life, I had colon and bladder cancer. He did the surgery and got me to an oncologist fast and treatment was started within a week. The oncologist only gave me 6 months to live but thanks to God and Dr Ash for getting my treatment started so fast I am still here four years later and have had no problems at all from my surgery.I was so glad to find him in Commerce again, so now he is my PCP. Everyone has had a dr in their past that they have not liked, Just like finding the right friends, or the right church, everyone has to find their own way. I am sure if you talk to 10 people at least half will have different opionions on every dr they have seen. Thanks Dr Ash for being there for my medical treatment.
