This doctor misdiagnosed my knee problems causing me additional difficulties due to late diagnosis when correctly diagnosed two years later by another medical professional. His "bedside" manner is awful as well. Might do better as a truck driver

KEPT ME WAITING THREE HOURS, AND WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO LEAVE THE CLINIC, THE NURSE BEGGED ME TO COME BACK AND LOOKED ON THE VERGE OF TEARS. HE DENIGRATED MY FAMILY DOCTOR AFTER PERCHING HIMSELF ON THE EXAMINING TABLE. BAD EXPERIENCE

HORRIBLE doctor if he should even be called a doctor. 2 surgeries and he completely ruined my leg. Now I can't get another Ortho to even see me. He has done these surgeries and never addressed the problem or attempted to fix the underlying problem. DONT GO TO HIM.

Doctor kept doing more surgeries I didn't even need. He completely messed up my leg that another ortho dr is trying to fix. He is rude and treats you like you are lying. He completely insults your intelligence.

Doctor insulted me, then literally poked at my ankle saying it was fractured and left for q nurse to put a brace on it. No pain management, no cast, nothing.

Horrible staff or Doctor, don't know which. Tried to get a release form from him and staff said he was to busy we would have to wait until the end of the day. I don't think getting a form from him is much to ask but to be blown off until the end of the day is unacceptable. Picked up records and will never go back. Would not reccomend anyone to Blue Ridge Bone and Joint.

Dr. Brooks crippled my mother after hip replacement surgery in 1999. The surgery went ok but she had problems post-op he had no time or interest in addressing. When she said she was having more pain with the new hip than ever before, he said w/contempt "you're probably walking wrong". She had to wait weeks to get an appt to see him about her pain & difficulty walking & when she finally got to the office found only a pain Rx waiting for her; he couldn't be bothered to see her. Another dr. eventually diagnosed at a glance that the incision had come open, the muscle retracted (apparently a common complication). Had Dr. B bothered to notice this at the time, it might have been successfully repaired; but not a year later, her leg now shorter than the other. She went from tennis player to disabled & depressed. Dr. #2 wouldn't testify against him so we couldn't sue. This forum is all I can do to write about him. Why writing now? She died Sunday & this memory is freshly haunting me.
