I did not have a positive experience with Dr. Berman. I will say he is a nice man and extremely intelligent. However, in my sessions it was mostly about telling me about the different families of drugs that I could consider and how they work and what the effects are. Nothing wrong with this right? The problem was he explained everything in a highly technical way where you would need to be a med student or doctor to understand. he needs to be able to put things in laymans terms. As far as discussion there really was no psycho therapy. It was more of a chit chat about things I could do to occupy my time to not think about my problems such as exercising, playing my guitar more, etc. Great ideas but nothing that I wasn't told 100 times by friends and family. Didn't take my insurance so it was $250 a session. I just expected a lot more. The only result of me seeing him (off and on for about 2 years) was that the drugs he prescribed me made me gain over 50 lbs. Bedside manner is not bad but could be better.

I have been a patient of Dr. Harvey Berman for over 10 Years.. He is extremely knowledgeable and provides superior service and I would recommend him to any and everyone..

Couldn't speak more highly of Dr. Berman. He's been a lifesaver, really.
