Some of his front desk assistants are rude. Why choose a job in the medical field if you are not considerate. I wasn't even done explaining my health condition, and the lady just cut me off. 0/5 stars!

I had a CT scan done on Monday at the order of Doctor Bakst and his staff has not called me with results yet three days later!!!!! I was on pins and needles as I had two thirds of my right lung removed in 2014 and this was a follow up. They don't care. They book patients back to back and then some.

Dr. Bakst is very nice. However, his office manager, Cindy is incredibly rude & childish. When we wanted a second opinion from a different Dr in same practice, we specifically asked to speak with her since Mom(88) doesn't like confrontation. Instead Bakst' asst called Mom who was terribly upset. I then called furious to talk with Cindy about it, who spoke over me, insisted I was yelling, told me she would have an adult conversation with me then hung up. So Bakst & Amy yes, Cindy should be fired.

Dr. Bakst is a fantastic pulmonary specialist. He's part of my army of Doctors that have given me excellent care. He is young, knowledgeable and has a good deal of current information within his field. I will generally wait to see Dr.Bakst, as I feel he's more in touch with my needs. He always runs very close to on-time, and is office assistant is very good about returning calls. Always a plus to have a good staff when you have a very busy doc.

I am convinced that Dr Bakst saved my life! I am 44 and he and his staff are as near to perfect as you can get. He cares, is very knowledgeable and professional. He listens to what I have to say, is calm, patient, compassionate and understanding. I highly recommend Dr Bakst. If you have any problems with your lungs there is none better. He loves what he does....loves people...what else can you ask for?

I am an asthmatic and I recently had an exaccerbation of my asthma. I was referred to Dr. Bakst by my primary care doctor. I was very impressed with Dr. Bakst. He took the time to listen to my complaint and gave me a very thorough exam. He skillfully fine tuned my medications and I have been feeling well since. Dr. Bakst has all the qualities that I look for in a physician: qualifications, intelligence and compassion.

A big thank you to Dr Alan Bakst as well as to his admin and nursing staff. The administration staff where very helpful in getting me an appointment as well as being punctual ,and helpful when I got there. His nurse Amy took all my vitals as well as a complete background to my medications and symptoms. As for dr Bakst his knowledge and understanding of my problem (difficulty in breathing) is second to none. He gave me his full attention ,and a thorough examination. His diagnosis and treatment was completely on the mark and as a result I am feeling much better. Anyone who has problems breathing, he is definitely an excellent guy to see. Ari

I would tell people to stay away from this man and his office staff. I had part of my lung removed because this so called dr and it did't have to be. First he puts me on oxygen for 2 years when after seeing a new lung dr and going for sleep studies I NEVER needed oxygen I needed a CPAC machine instead for sleeping. His office staff is horrible, when he first put me on the oxygen he staff forgot to order it, I spoke to 3 different people and 6wks later I finially got it. Then the problem with my lung came up, he told me I wouldn't make it through surgery and be hooked up to a breathing machine for the rest of my life, the PET Scan came back postive for cancer, this was in his office. Checking out he comes running down the hall and says he changed his mind and I would live through surgery. Had it done turns out I didn't have Cancer, left hospital, went back to him, he hears water in my lungs, sends me back home, says lets see what happens, end up in new hospital, new Dr. removed water.
