I went in for a small filling in a back tooth and to repair a break on the left side of my left front tooth. When giving the anesthetic for my back tooth she hit the nerve and my entire mouth went numb. I couldn't even feel vibrations. When she examined my front tooth she told me she wasn't sure if the break went all the way through. No x-ray. Instead she told me she wanted to 'smooth it out'. I thought she meant the edge of the break. I told her I wanted what was best for my tooth. She told me she wanted to do what was best for me and not give me any more anesthesia. She then removed, almost entirely, the enamel from the back of BOTH my front teeth. There was never any discussion of doing anything to my other front tooth. I did not and would never have consented to this. I have consulted another dentist to examine what she did. They told me she was 'definitely aggressive' and removed a 'significant' amount of enamel from both teeth. It's
not fixable.
