Not who he portrays himself to be. Caused me and my children more harm and suffering than he ever helped. It isn’t possible to list all the atrocities he committed, so be careful and don’t question or confront him. Also ask for a copy of your notes at each visit.

Dr. Donaldson revealed personal information during my second visit and made me feel beyond uncomfortable. He was also late, flustered and failed to properly diagnose me. 0/10.

I have bipolar disorder, but despite seeing several psychiatrists, I was never given that diagnosis. It wasn't until Dr. Donaldson saw me that I discovered what was really going on. He helped me see that my diagnosis was different & with his help we tried a completely different medication. I went from being debilitated and unable to do anything in my life to working & going to school. He has helped me to live life again!

Got an appointment within a week of calling. Office quoted exact fee, emailed me policies and receipts. Dr Donaldson very good with medications and also answering all questions about my mental health and best way to manage my lifestyle. I was really surprised he offered me his cell # and I can call him for a nominal charge per minute. He is THE most accessible Doctor and Psychiatrist I've ever encountered. And he' s willing to spend time with me- not the usual 10 minutes you get from other psychiatrists. He doesn't accept insurance, but I'm not putting mental health bills through to insurance anyhow.

Re: Dr. John R. Donaldson, D. O. I just love Dr. Donaldson - he is so nice! He explains things so I understand and he never loses patience with me. He got me on the right medication. His fees are standardized and he even makes house calls.

What happened to his admitting privileges at CHOMP? Not able to admit and care for patients there? " Does not handle emergencies". No set fees? Think I'll go see a doctor instead.
