doctor very helpfull in exsplaning my type of surgery and taking care of all paper work with insurance company.

My mother recently had her appendix removed by Dr. Patel. The scars are horrible, she is still in sever pain 6wks after the surgery. His office asked her for $1700 up front in front of the entire waiting room. Who is going to bring 1700 up front for a surgery that she is still haveing problems with.

Was very rude, left the room while I was talking to him. His instruments were rusted and old. He took out my gallbladder and I am still in pain from it.

Had my gallbladder removed by him. He did not explain why I had an extra hole in my stomach - and used stitches instead of the glue. When he took the stitches out, he used rusted tools and was very rough. I was also trying to talk to him - and he walked out of the room while I was in mid-sentence!

Operation was planned as outpatient. 2 weeks later, due to complications, finally out of hospital. Found out Dr Patel was sued, and lost, last year and is on probation.
