Very worse practice in parsippany area. They care for money, not for patient.

they always over charge for everything. check your bill before you pay. they put extra charges that did not happen on appointment day. They just spend 2 to 3 mins and billed for $150. I recommend not to go with this practice. I am planning to do complain for this practice to the health department of NJ.

About mid-way through her pregnancy Dr. Shah said that at week 34 my wife will need to begin having ultrasounds every week. She said the reason is, “because of your age, the baby’s heartbeat could stop at any time”. Yes, this is what she said. Rather than saying your age (38) puts you at a higher risk, she said the baby’s heart could stop at any time. When she began having the ultrasound appointments every week. At each appointment, the person reading the ultrasounds said everything looks great. With about three weeks to my wife’s due date, we had an ultrasound appointment followed by my wife’s checkup at Dr. Shah’s office. Dr. Shah came into the room and examined my wife and then began talking about inducing her the following week. When we asked her why she would induce her, Dr. Shah responded “because your baby’s heart could stop at anytime and your baby could die”. She followed this by saying it happened to her former partner and it is a horrible experience. That the mother cries out at the loss and the whole office is affected by it and it affects the mother for a very long time. When I said what is the reason you are saying the baby’s heart could stop at any time, she replied that it is because of my wife’s age, that it is called advanced maternal age. I replied that everything with my wife’s health has been excellent throughout the pregnancy and the same with the baby. I said that first you said the heart could stop at any time and this is why we have an ultrasound every week and at each ultrasound everything has been excellent. She followed this by saying, if it wasn’t they would have sent you strait to the emergency room. My wife expressed concerns about inducing. She expressed that she has read it can cause problems and that most importantly it is best for the health of the baby if she carries as close to full term as possible. Dr. Shah responded that we can do what we want, but if we refuse to be induced she said “I will write it all over your chart that you refused being induced. Because you could sue me if something went wrong”. She then had to leave the room and said to look it up, it is called “Advanced Maternal Age.” When she returned about 10 minutes later I said that I looked it up and that information I see says that doctors are now making decisions based more on the health of the Mother and baby during the exams rather than solely age. Dr. Shah Responded: “If you do not get induced and something happens you could find an attorney who would take the case in a heartbeat and you would win. You could literally sue me for millions of dollars.” We spent an entire weekend and part of the following week facing a decision of - are we jeopardizing the life of our newborn if we don’t induce? Are we going to harm our baby? This created a severe amount of stress for my pregnant wife who went from excited about the birth and how well things are going to wondering if she carries to term is she potentially killing our baby? We decided to see a different doctor. This doctor said her age was of no concern. We never returned to Dr. Shah again. I am happy to say that we had a beautiful and extremely healthy baby born one day before the due date. I went back and forth in the decision to write and post our experience and decided to proceed because every nurse or doctor we have spoken to says you need to tell other people what happened. Those in the medical field said a Doctor should never say the types of things she said. Most interestingly is that at this very appointment she did not even take the time to listen to the baby’s heartbeat The heartbeat she kept scaring us could stop at any time was apparently not important enough for her to listen to at this appointment.

Doctor Shah was AMAZING! Have not felt that welcome in years. I am a new patient and was thoroughly looked after. The questionnaire was very extensive and really covered all medical history. I had gone there for a problem and Shah answered all my questions! She didnt make me feel like a burden or as if I was taking to much time. Will recommend to everyone.

We choose Dr shah for my pregnancy but she is very very poor doctor. In pre pregnancy we only able to get 4 appointments with her in 9 months. Very busy doctor. Don't have time to take care of her patients. Very disappointment with her work. Never spends more than 5 mins. Waiting time around 45 mins. Never get a sit to sit down. She send us 4 times to hospital before 32 weeks pregnancy saying you will deliver baby today. deliver baby in 39 weeks. Even intern doctor at hospital laughing on dr shah decision to send us in hospital. Purely money making decision. Even didn't came to see us in hospital after delivery. Don't even came during delivery time. Will not recommend anyone.

Dr. Shah is the best! She is so sweet and takes her time with you. I liked that she was able to explain things to me clearly and with ease. I felt really comfortable being there and asking questions. Her staff was wonderful and any results or questions I had were answered promptly by her nurse practitioner, Elana. I would recommend her to all my friends and family!

Saw Dr. Shah when my beloved Dr. Andolino was out sick during my scheduled annual. I do not have children nor do I intend to. I just get my yearly checkups and refill of my script. She is sweet as can be and answers any questions well, very pleasant. Couple of things I did not like, one is she uses an assistant, which is ok but honestly, every other practitioner I have used before has been able to reach for the needed instruments her/himself, no need to have a young girl peeking at my crotch because she needs to be there to hand her things. I like private time with my doctor, especially for something like a pelvic exam. Perhaps I can say too many other tests were ordered, which I never had happen before. Aside from perhaps what I'm simply not used to, she was an absolute pleasure and I wouldn't mind seeing her again next year, will simply let her know I do not wish to have an assistant in the room.

I was asked to change my appt from 3pm to 230pm because the doctor needed to leave early for a c/section, I said no problem. I was not seen by the doctor till 345, when I asked the staff why did they ask me to come in at 230 if she wasn't going to see me till 345 they said to talk to her about it. Unbelievable!!! Then the following week I show up to my appt at 10am and was told that they had called me several times the day before to reschedule and the doctor couldn't see me that day because she was running behind and had somewhere to be and that I could see the nurse the following day. I checked my home phone (the only number they called) and they had only called once the day before and left no message. Very unprofessional and everyone seems extremely confused. I was recommended by a friend who is also as of last month no longer her patient as well.
