Unfortunately, Dr. Zias and the whole cardiac and ICU and recovery staff need more training to identify adverse reactions. My loved one died due to their lack of awareness, and had to endure needless pain and suffering due to additional surgeries the doctor insisted on despite clear evidence that something went terribly wrong. 720,000 Americans die due to infections in hospitals yearly and the hospital needs to take action. It is an OUTRAGE, and I recommend avoiding NYU Langone altogether, and the cardiology team in general.

Dr. Zias performed a quadruple bypass procedure on me this year and I felt that he and his staff always performed at the highest levels and always had my best interests in mind.

My 37 year old nephew walked into NYU Lagone on 7/14/13, after a quadruple bypass by Dr Zias, my nephew passed away at recovery. To make matters worse, Dr Zias never even called my sister to express his sorrow for whatever went wrong.
