Staff is, as others have said, sub-optimal. At times, downright rude and not helpful. My list of issues with her is long. Her attitude made me hesitate to even call for any reason, even to follow up on the botched referrals to a GYN that never actually amounted to a completed referral. Doctor is a bit of an odd guy. He doesn't inspire confidence and that concerned me. This isn't a one-off experience either. I had four visits to Dr. Gilbert and significantly more interactions with his receptionist who probably loses half of his patients for him. The waiting room is not particularly well kept up, and the exam room is very dated and needs attention. Other than being conveniently near a lab for bloodwork, the entire experience left me feeling like I made a bad choice with this doctor. I'm asking my insurance provider to switch PCP.

Dr. Gilbert seems nice, but his receptionist is awful.

I waited over an hour to see this doctor, only to have him rush me through my appointment in about two minutes. I didn't even have enough time to tell him my symptoms or history. He barely glanced at the testing paperwork I'd brought him. He talked over me and tried to insist that my properly diagnosed orthopedic condition must be something else, without having any clinical basis for that conclusion. The only thing he did was to ask me to raise my hands over my head. All in all, he was very patronizing and clearly wasn't listening to a word I was saying. I will be asking my insurance to send me elsewhere.

This doctor is completely irresponsible. He told me I had Lupus and wanted to put me on medication right away. This was really scary. I am so glad I had a second opinion. I thankfully do not have Lupus.

He tried to rush us out right away. He does communicate well, he looks at your hands and tells you immediately what he thinks is wrong. He is "different" not in a good way. Meds he prescribes are not good. I will never go back.

Wow. Not at all thorough or communicative (even going so far as to diagnose me with something he had no clue about and to discount previous diagnoses after little more than having me raise my arms and wriggle my fingers). As I was practically mid-sentence, while questioning him further about his conclusions, he opened the door and said, "Make an appointment for four weeks from now, we'll see how it goes." (See how WHAT goes...? Weird.) I didn't let him off that easily, but after two more attempts to discuss my physical issues intelligibly with this man, and him motioning for me to leave the room, I just left. Gilbert sounded strange and incoherent over the phone, and I didn't like the sound of the place even before I went, but unfortunately, this was the only specialist my insurance covered. Another very disappointing experience at the doc's office.

The doctor is very nice and friendly but very very poor with responding back you to especially if you have left several messages and he never calls you back. His receptionist/assistant is the WORST! She takes no responsibility for anything she does wrong and in fact blames the doctor for any lack of communication. Completely and utterly unprofessional. On my second visit gave the wrong chart to the doctor (started to diagnose me for something else), charge me the wrong amt and she didn't try to correct it until I brought it up to her, couldn't get me a referral to another doctor (I had to make the call to get this done) and finally couldn't even get my messages to the doctor to give me a call back about my condition. She is a very angry bitter woman and the doctor doesn't realize that she is a direct reflection of his reputation and his image. I would not recommend going to this doctor at all if you want common courtesy and a basic level of professional behavior.
