I stabbed myself accidentally in the palm of my hand and went to emergency at Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital, figuring it was a simple injury. Once met by Dr. Samaddar, I found him to be very condescending & uninterested in what I had to say. I felt he thought I was a hypochondriac, since I was complaining about extreme pain, yet my wound was minimal. I was just worried I had done some internal damage; I wasn't concerned with the cut wound itself. He never acknowledged that and he made me feel stupid for coming to an emergency room. I just didn't want to wait till the next day & find out I should have done something sooner. I was not impressed with his lack of compassion, concern or knowledge. He just kept saying you'll know more tomorrow. Well heck, I could have figured that out on my own. Very disappointed in his treatment plan (nil) and bedside manner. To make matters worse, I have since been diagnosed with permanent nerve damage. So much for his help.
