This physician should have her license revoked. Worst bedside manner ever. Never came to do an intake on my mother after she was discharged from the hospital where she was in ICU/CCU for a month. Waited nearly six months to actually lay eyes on my mother and discharged her because she required too much time. Flippant on the phone, condescending and does not call back after hours....if you care about your loved one, do not hire her. Check with your hospital's SW.....
I am in Health care myself....All I can say is to stay far away....and hire anther provider!!!

HORRIBLE doctor! Should have her license revoked STAT. Saw my mom in her 90's in our house and told me she was ready for death's door although nothing was wrong with my mom. She also left some biohazard in our kitchen sink and doing about a 30 sec "exam" on my poor mom! We got another home visit doc shortly after we fired Schiffman and he said she had a horrible reputation even among drs and that there was nothing wrong with my mom. Schiffman is insane.

I really wanted to like Dr Schiffman since she makes house calls and doesn't charge an up-front fee. But she is very much in a hurry and likes to leap to quick medical conclusions. Her appointments are very rushed as she's hurrying off to the next patient. That doesn't inspire confidence or allow for a give and take, which is so often needed when determining treatment options that aren't black and white. She comes across as callous and uncaring.

Awful "doctor." Should be sanctioned or have her medical license removed.

Dr. Schiffman heads Capital House Calls, a house call physician service for the metro D.C. area. Today we saw Dr. Schiffman's Physician's Assistant, Ruth Lestikow, PA-C MPAS for the first time. Ruth made a home visit to my 91-year-old mom, and I am in awe. I cannot express how intelligent, medically savvy, professional, warm, and kind Ruth was! Gave my mom a thorough exam, addressed, in length, all her healthcare concerns, and educated me on certain medications and conditions. She had complete and detailed knowledge of geriatric medicine and I am literally so incredibly grateful for Dr. Schiffman's practice and Ruth I am almost rendered speechless. My mom is pretty much immobile, so getting her to doctors is very stressful for her. If you are in need of a house call physician/PA in the D.C. area, run, don't walk, to this practice. I have no idea who rated Dr. Schiffman so low (of course they left NO review), but they must be psychotic. Dr. Schiffman and her team are GODSENDS. :D
