Biography
Dr. Alan Hinton is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has been practicing in the Lake Charles area for the past 20 years. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine, and his specialties include orthopaedics as well as sports medicine. Dr. Hinton is a passionate surgeon who is active in both the medical and Lake Charles community. He has written contributions for several scientific publications and given prestigious scientific presentations at places such as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Hinton is currently involved in a grassroots research project at McNeese State University and New Orleans BioInnovation Center utilizing stem cells and meniscus regeneration in pigs. As a partner in the Lake Charles community, Dr. Hinton has served as the president for the Calcasieu Area Boy Scouts Council of America and Assistant Scout Master for Troop 5 with First United Methodist Church in Lake Charles. Absolutely wonderful... Compared to the right hip procedure I had 7 years ago by another physician, it was a piece of cake.. Dr Hinton's anterior approach was a VAST improvement with both pain and recovery. All I ever used for pain and recovery was ibuprofen and Tylenol. Completed at home PT in 2 weeks and have had very little discomfort through it all.
