I've been to doctors Masts office over 30 times in the last 22 years for both medical reasons and for elective surgeries and have nothing but the finest service. Him and his entire team are both professional and personable along with a clear concise diagnosis.

I just left a comment and Dr. Mast scores a 5/5 for Helpfulness. I have no idea how I pressed a "2". Dr. Mast is helpful and compassionate. I had skin cancer on my eyelid with a threat to remove part of my eyelid. I called his office in panic and they called me right back saying Dr. Mast will see me right away if the dermatology surgery was not successful. Sorry for mistake below .

UF is so lucky to have Dr. Mast. I first saw Dr. Mast at Accent and now UF. Dr. Mast is a brilliant surgeon— in both my experiences twenty years apart (age 30 & 52) results far exceed expectations! I am so happy —my body took a major beating after two kids in my 40’s & six months of bed rest. If you are looking for someone who will tell you what you want to hear or someone who will sugar coat details, expectations, recovery, etc.--this is not the surgeon for you. Dr. Mast is very direct which I exactly what a happy & satisfied patient needs or you may find yourself like so many of my peers who were so unprepared for the process and/or results. There is nothing I didn't know or expect. --Also, not to mince words; at least in my experience; Dr. Mast will not perform procedures he doesn’t think will meet your expectations or needs. Not 20 years ago and not now. I really appreciate that in a doctor--and it means everything in a surgeon. Anyone considering a lift, reduction, lipo before or after having kids; I was able to nurse two kids ten years after my procedure. After two kids in my 40's; I feel 30 again . Most importantly; if you or a friend is facing a difficult diagnoses of breast cancer; please have them go see Dr. Mast. Fortunately my procedures have been elective---you think his elective paitents are happy--talk to ones whom are his reconstructive paitents . Ten stars !
P. S. I laughed about the "all about the $$$"bc any healthcare person will tell you Dr. Mast does not agree to a fair share of proposed procedures (I wanted a nose job and it wasn't gonna happen with Dr. Mast. He was blunt and thank heavens!) and prices at UF are 1/3 the competition. If you are concerned about the reviews; ask local doctors and nurses who has the best results ! Bedside manner --first of all, he is dry and direct but funny & deadpan. I find him funny . But really the only manner that matters to me is his manner with the nurses who if they don't love him at least respect he is so talented .

The only thing good is the office staff here. Very friendly. Find another plastic surgeon at Shands. Plenty of excellent options.

This guy has a know-it-all attitude. It feels like he's more interested in making money from patient care, rather than serving patients.
