This Dr. is extremely rude. Only his opinion counts. My husband has had kidney stones for 40years and knows his body. Dr.Steinkohl does not listen to what you have to say. It is his way or the highway. My husband suffered months with stents which we feel was totally unnecessary, he would have passed fragments on his own if allowed to. Instead he did 3 lithotripsies to break up. We found another Dr. who listens and has been great with dealing with his kidney stone problems this past couple of years. Steer away from Dr. Steinkohl. I give Zero stars if I could

Absolutely the rudest, arrogant doctor I have ever seen. I tried to be cordial, but when his nurse came in and asked me several questions about my BPH, she ended by asking if I was suicidal!!?? I told her no and why was she asking. Her story changed twice saying that "someone"called and said Ii was. I asked if it was a dr and she said no and could not tell me who it was. I asked to see the dr and he entered very rudely and said "There is no more discussion about this matter and to find another urologist if I didn't like it. This guy definitely has a god complex. I have filed a complaint with HIPPA, Nevada Medical Board as well as my attorney. Avoid this dr at all costs.

This is a wonderful Doctor. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He is very reserved, but I like that in a doctor who is working on my under-carriage. He is also very professional, respectful and courteous, and always punctual. I would recommend him to anyone.

It's not the first time I've heard of a good surgeon with a nasty disposition. His skills as a surgeon has little to do with his personality, as in Dr. Steinkohls' case. He is and always has been very stoic and almost despotic towards most of his patients. His so called bedside manner is quite bad, I mean bad.. most any nurse who's ever worked with him would say. I've met quite few. Could just be his personality, either way you have and option to go to someone else. I'm sure he could care less.. sorry I'm just stating what i personally know to be true..

STAY AWAY!!!!!! If I could leave ZERO stars I would. First his staff was making nasty jokes outside of our room which was left open. Then they made fun of a client that had called, after they hung up the phone with her. Her is the WORST PART: This so called Doctor left a catheter in my mother and ended up in the hospital the day of a check up with him, with Sepsis. He NEVER did ONE TEST on my mother. Instead she walked around in PAIN and suffered for one month with a catheter taped to her leg and did not even lower below her bladder while she was in bed. When we took her by to the ER where she was confused and not making any sense they were appalled with the level of care my poor mother received from this doctor.... My mother passed away shortly after being released from the hospital. While in the hospital we found that she had other complications in her health, but we know that the poor care of this arrogant doctor was a contributing factor to the decline of my mother.

I see here ratings from 1 to 5, our experience is great. My 82 years old father was/is the patient. he was having bloated stomach and I took him to the gastroenterologist who ordered CT scan. The results showed that problem was of urological nature, bladder not emptying and causing issues with kidney as well. We were told to see an urologist ASAP. Dr.Steinkohl's office staff, when heard urgency, accommodated us the next day with packed office and my father being a new patient when other offices gave me 2 and a half month waiting period. It was urgent, ureter clogged, stones in kidney, bladder, urine backing up to kidney, bladder not emptying, you name it...Dr. Steinkohl did all the necessary procedure, including surgery, putting the stent in and continuing the treatment. We have been to his office several times now and dealt with various office staff who was above and beyond helpful, doctor explained what is going on, what will happen. All we can say is THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Dr. Steinkohl was incredibly impatient and unwilling to answer questions. Quite honestly he was also physically abusive and I would not recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic surgeon & very knowledgeable urologist. Modern up to date on all new advancements in technology. I was referred my Doctor Semma Sood for a large bladder stone. (over 3 cm - golf ball size) Very professional & efficient. Did tests 1st visit & cystoscopy 2nd visit & 3rd meeting - holmium laser surgery blasted & removal. He is a masterful expert with high powered laser & got me in & out of OR at Sunrise hospital in a few hours. The master Jedi Knight of Light Saber expertise performed a perfect search & destroy & removal of my golf ball size bladder stone. I would highly recommend his skills to any person with a serious urology problem. Al Figliolia

I've been battling a neurological disease for 30 years and must have seen that many doctors ((plus five major clinics). I, too, must contradict the first post. I'll put Dr. Steinkohl in my top-three doctors. He, and his staff, are very courteous, professional and efficient. I will recommend (and have) recommend Dr. Steinkohl to anyone unfortunate enough to suffer urological disease and problems. I also wonder if mean-spirited patients realize how much damage they can do to a professional doctor with vengeful, inaccurate posts, like the first one.
