After struggling for years with double vision and constantly adjusting the prism in my glasses prescription, I was referred to Dr. Robbins for an eye muscle evaluation. She was quickly able to diagnose the problem, then explain it to me, along with how she routinely performs surgery to correct it. Her explanations matched my symptoms so closely that her knowledge of eye muscle alignment was very apparent. She acknowledged other aspects of my complicated eye health and how she was taking them into consideration regarding my surgical correction. She was patient with questions, and empathic to my anxiety around the situation. She could clearly describe why the surgery would be a high reward, low risk surgery for me, without pressuring me regarding my decision to move forward. I'm so grateful for her time, explanation, and skill performing the surgery. The result has been a great relief and improving every day!

I am in my senior years and have been chained to an ophthalmologist since birth. I had strabismus surgery many, many years ago with ancient technology to correct strabismus. Recently, the muscles holding my pupil in the center of the sclera weakened or tore so that the pupil drifted to the corner of my eye socket. Not only was this cosmetically frightening but my vision was impaired. Dr. Robins was recommended to me by two very reputable opthamoligists.

While I was very fearful of an eye operation in my senior years, given my history (lifelong glasses and less than normal vision), I felt a real trust in the skill of Dr. Robbins. She explained everything.

For the first time in my long life, I can see well, and the far less important cosmetic issue has been completely corrected.

Dr.Robbins is also a scholar who is very interested in genetic history of eye conditions and examined several pictures of my eyes since childhood.

What Dr. Robbins accomplished with my eyes, using all the new technologies that did not exist in the 1950s, is nothing short of a miracle.

There is no way to thank Dr. Robbins enough. The eye surgery was a milestone in my life.

I am very great full with Dr Robbins and all the Medical group who intervened in my surgery. I was diagnosed 4th Nerve Palsy and previous doctor advised to use prism glasses for life. I was not comfortable with this final decision and start to learn more about my problem and do little bit of research. I am very happy for my decision and very fortunate to find Shiley/ Ratner Center.
Dr Robbins is an angel, she has a very delicate way to talk, explain and listen to all your concerns, she was able to respond to all my questions and satisfy all of them.
I had this problem for 3 years and was struggling at work and daily life. Dr Robbins brought back my vision and eradicate the double vision
I strongly recommend her.

She an amazing doctor. Best personality and amazing work ethic. She treats every patient with kindness. She is aggressive and knows her specialty well. My son can see and. Has improved so much thanks to her. My son has a rare syndrome and Dr. Robbins was our angel because she helped him see. She is definitely one of the best doctors
