I’m 28 and a 21-year/3 time brain tumor survivor much thanks to Dr. Steven Toms! I work as a high school and live a “normal” life with really only minor short term memory problems. I have followed Dr. Toms from Vanderbilt to Cleveland Clinic now to Rhode Island. He is so knowledgeable and is one of the most sincerely loving and caring people I know.

Dr. Toms saw our son in law a little over 1 month ago for the first time after our son was diagnosed with a brain tumor . Dr. Toms was our second opinion doctor and we are so glad we went to Geisinger to see him . He is a very thoughtful , competent & skilled surgeon . We never felt rushed , pushed , or made to feel ignorant . Every question and query we had was answered in a timely fashion and with utmost respect . The staff ( nursing and other physicians involved ) have been very kind and very helpful as well . Thank you so much Dr. Toms and your team for your services and your skill and your compassion . Dr toms operated on my son in 2000 at Vanderbuilt in Nashville, TN. My son was 18 years old and his condition was serious..very serious. Dr. Toms told us that his condition that there was not much knowledge and his condition was rare. Today my son has his Grad degree, married, homeowner and a father. Dr. Toms bonded with my son..Dr. Toms really cared about us. We will never forget him.
