Made negative comments on the treatment and recommendations I was receiving from two other excellent doctors. Had no answers to questions I had asked concerning my condition and seemed unaware of many symptoms of the disease I am dealing with. Did not fell he listened nor felt he had read may referral. In fact, he asked why I was there today.

No compassion. He simply gave a fibromyalgia diagnosis and said there was little to be done for my pain. When I started to tear up ( mostly from frustration) he looked perturbed and suggested psychological counseling and meds. Also, the diagnosis was given without any blood test, which seemed premature. I recommend you steer clear of doctor Mumm, he lacks empathy and basic human decency.

I read the other negative reviews and they were exactly how I found Dr. Mumm. I have had horrible pain for about 15 years and have been sent to various different doctors of all different specialties and Dr. Mumm is the worst, most uncaring and unfeeling doctor I've seen. He diagnosed me with fibromyalgia a number of years ago, but won't treat me; he passed me on to my primary Doctor who is great, but not trained in treating my many health issues. Fibromyalgia often causes many other conditions.

I would NOT recommend this Doctor to anyone. He is not willing to continue care written by a Rheumatologists who is older and much wiser than he will ever be. He did not seem to be interested in what my other physicians or I had to say.

I was referred to him as I suffer from chronic pain. I found him to be not interested and he seemed annoyed as though his time was being wasted. He should not be working in the medical profession with this kind of demeanor. I would not recommend him.

I saw Dr. Mumm last year and he diagnosed me with FMS and CFS. I was having neurogenic pain and my GP sent me to a Dr who did an MRI and then recommended a 3 level ACDF. My insurance got a 2nd opinion and my GP agreed to it. It helped some but the neuro Dr. of Sioux Falls tried to anchor 8 screws and a plate into my vertebra, but missed one screw and it went into the muscle 1 mm away from my vertebral artery. It is pointing right at my artery. I am scheduled to get it removed but no Dr wants to step on the toes of the neuro and say this surgery is urgently necessary. I asked Dr. Mum to say a person with fibromyalgia cannot tolerate a screw permanently stuck in their muscle traumatizing it. But he said I am not trained to know where the screws belong! People suffer,& people die because the truth is secondary to Dr's protecting Dr's. If you make one mad, they will jam up your medical records that are now live online nationwide. They will make you look bad and no 1 will want to help you.

Many doctors could not diagnose my condition, but Dr. Mumm did very quickly. He took a sincere interest in my care and valued my input. I would highly recommend!

I feel very fortunate to have found a doctor as caring and helpful as Dr. Mumm. Because the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis can be so complicated and unique to every person who has it, a good rheumatologist has to be willing to really listen to his patients, and *believe* them when they say something hurts, in order to provide decent care. When there are multiple options with regards to treatment, Dr. Mumm discusses the options and involves you in the decision-making. Although that's the way it should always be with health care providers, in my experience it is rarely that way with rheumatologists. I've moved several times and have seen several different rheumatologists, and Dr. Mumm is clearly one of the best. I would recommend him to anyone.

The morning of my appt I received a call at 8am informing me that my appt at 130 was cancelled. My appt was supposed to be with Dr. Kara Peterson. I told the receptionist I had just driven 400 miles in order to attend the appt. She was very rude and only after much insistence told me she would attempt to get someone else to see me. An hour later she called to tell me Dr. Gregg Mumm would see me later that day. At appt he came in and said that he had no file or any info to look at since my referring doc had not sent it. I offered to go to the waiting room to retrieve my copies of blood tests and he said he did not want them. He did not preview my intake forms describing my symptoms and argued with me about the type of referral I was. He did not even want to draw blood stating he didn't want to duplicate tests so again I offered my copies which he declined a 2nd time. Seemed irritated, in a hurry, and uninterested in attempting to diagnose or R/O anything relating to my condition.
