Dr. Koness performed my bilateral mastectomy in 2014. I was 39. He is the absolute best!! He is more proactive than any other breast surgeon around. He never dismisses my concerns. He hears me and makes sure to follow up. I owe my life to this man!!

I had breast cancer previously and had a latisamiss dorcy flap after , not done by him , for 3 years I was yelling him there was something wrong with my right arm ..first it was I had infected lymph nodes , sent me on my way . A year later it was the muscle from the dorcy flap had twisted causing pain . Third year , by now I'm dropping things and keep losing feeling in the arm , telling him I'm in severe pain and he tells me we will wait 4 months and look again ..I said that there was something wrong and he needed to do something now ..low and behold I had surgery within a month only to find out that 18 of 19 lymph nodes had cancer and the cancer has spread to my neck , sternum , clavicle, spine , left ag and pretty much left me with 4 to 5 years to live ..not happy .

He is the worst doctor I've ever dealt with for surgery. He's miserable,i suffered in pain and his bedside manner rots!!The nurse Merry was just as rotten. She was very unprofessional, yelling from the front desk, comments about my personal life. This was one of the worst experiences of my life#! Margo

General surgeon-other than cancer he's horrible in other areas-he was judgemental ,I suffered in pain the entire time I remained in the hospital-especially after surgery.he gave me a very difficult time with TDI-you would have thought he was paying for it.as for the hospital nurses ,one in particular Merry sat at the front desk yelling about methadone loud enough for me to hear!!Maybe you need educated more.very unprofessional .good thing Dr Koness didn't smile ,cuz his face would have cracked!!

Dr.Koness has operated on me five times-three oral cancer resections;one emergency hemmorhage surgery;and one incisional hernia repair. He is quite simply the best surgeon I've ever encountered and I've had 16 or 17 surgeries in my lifetime.Dr.Koness has an amazing skill to leave you as whole as possible and with the least quality of life damage possible.Anyone he treats is lucky beyond description.
