The staff here are truly some of to rudest people I have ever had the unfortunate chance of meeting. They have no reason to be working in the service industry with the distain they act they have for the public. When you show up for an appointment to may wait five minutes or a hour. But get this if you show up 10 minutes late they cancel. I give a 3 for knowledge based on the knowledge needed for a degree although Rupel just sticks to his wheel house and assumptions.

Dr. Rupel is a good guy. He is easy to talk to, explains things clearly, doesn't rush you in and out of the office, and definitely knows his stuff.

My family and I are new to the Littleton/Highlands Ranch area and I was looking for a local GP office for a long overdue wellness visit. My wife and I both made separate appointments at Fam Med at HR with different Doctors. I researched both Dr Rupel and Dr Beezley and felt comfortable with either, so I took the first available appointment with Dr Rupel. It was a quick appointment and he was easy to discuss my health concerns with. Although he did not perform all the "regular" tests as part of the visit, I assumed he was not doing unnecessary tests in an effort to be more efficient and focus on what were possible problem areas for my age and medical history. For that I was grateful at the time, as Dr visits are not always the most pleasant. But had I known why that was the case, I may have asked why things weren't being done as I have had experienced in the past.
The only major problem I had with my experience is with Dr Rupel's policy on new patients that was not communicated when the initial appointment was made. When I made the appointment, I was asked to give a reason other than wellness visit for records, as that was not adequate.....should have seen that as a flag. So I scheduled what I believed was a wellness visit assuming it would be covered by insurance. Shortly after, I was disappointed to get a notice from my Insurance company that I owed over $125 for the visit. When I called to get clarification, I was told the appoint was billed as a "medical necessity". So I called the Fam Med office and spoke with the office manager to get it re-billed as a wellness visit, thinking that would be easy enough. Nope! Dr Rupel's policy, and the only Dr with the this type of policy at this practice, is to not perform wellness visits for new patients on the initial visit. Had I been informed of that, I would have not scheduled the appointment with Dr Rupel and waited for Dr Beezley. The office manager was less than helpful and not very understanding that the policy was never communicated. She even went so far as to place the blame for the misunderstanding on me saying that I admitted to her that I knew the policy. She offered to speak with Dr Rupel about the issue and call me back the next day. I am yet to receive a call back, but assume it was a "oh that's too bad, policy is policy" conversation since I have now received the bill.
Again, I felt Dr Rupel was good, and would go back to him again, except it has now been 2 months since that visit, I still have not had a wellness visit , and I also have a bill I was unaware I was going to get.
I am going to schedule another new patient wellness visit, but at a different practice, since this has just left a sour taste in my mouth. I am sad to see how the medical industry has changed, from one of the friendly family physician, to one of practices operated like businesses. We had assumed that our entire family would be going to the same practice for years to come, but that does not appear to be the case.

Dr Rupel is an excellent GP that cares for my family. He is highly responsive via the phone or email, has an excellent network of specialists and cares about his patients. He is also an endurance athlete and understands sports medicine. We have been seeing him for over 11 years.

I trust Dr. Rupel as my primary doctor. In my experience, he is quite competent, and strikes an appropriate balance between testing and diagnosing, but not ordering "overly careful" tests. When I have an urgent problem, I have always been able to obtain a timely appointment.

I can't believe some of the bad comments I've read. Dr. Rupel is first-class. Our family has been going to him for at least 15 years. Punctuality wasn't always the best in the past, but better the last few years. I would highly recommend him.

He is the best doctor I have ever had; I have somuch confidence in him that I have referred several close friends to him and they all love him as well.
