I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in Ausgust of 2008. Dr. Izor, my neurologist, is very knowledgable in this field. He has given me exemplary care and guidance. I had DBS in Ausust of 2009. Dr. Izor worked closely with the surgeon, and the results have been remarkable. I also can't say enough about what a great job the PT Kara has done, initially in pain management, then in programing my neurostimulator. Her positive attitude helped me immensely. The front office staff(Amy and Amber), are pleasant and efficient. If anyone has the misfortune of needing a neurologist, I highly recommend Dr. Izor and his staff.

The first time I saw Dr. izor I was skeptical because he looked so young. I went to see him for these extreme headaches I was having every morning. He did an evaluation and made some suggestions and told me what to monitor. The headaches subsided for a few months and then one morning I had a terrible, what felt like a migraine head banging ache. I called Dr. Iizor's office and was told to go have a MRI of the brain. His office called it in, got it authorized and when I arrived at the facility they were waiting for me. When I was done, I went straight to Dr. Izor's office and he went over the results with me and my situation was resolved. It's nice to know that I was cared about. I did not have to worry about referrals, authorizations, they took care of me and I received complete patient care. Dr. Izor was very knowledgable, helpful and most important to me as a patient, he cared.

Dr. Izor saw me on an emergent basis and was very helpful. He eased my mind and calmed my nerves when I thought something was going wrong. Even though he was positive everything was okay, he ordered all the necessary tests to make sure.

I got the feeling that he does not review a patients record before consultation. i was having a test procedure performed by him and he was talking about my condition. (unfortunately, he kept referring to a diagnosis that I didn't have.) He came back into my examination room and apologized for the mistake. I then overheard him talking to his staff that he had mistakenly performed the same test on another patient that was already performed. (that patient was supposedly coming in for another evaluation that required a larger dose to check for it's effectiveness. The trial involved a lumbar puncture so it was not easy to administer the drug used for testing. I feel sorry for the other patient that needed to have the procedure performed again because he failed to read the chart before performing the procedure. Other recommendations from him were inconsistent from prior recommendations. I was very concerned and have not been back since. Too bad since he is the only one that does what I need.
