Horrible bedside manner from him and his staff. Pushed products heavily. He added things to his end of appt notes to give me to take home that I had said I didn’t want to do and included things we had never talked about. He jumped to his own obvious conclusions instead of listening to the myriad of other issues I have going on that could contribute to a diagnosis. It felt like he was assigning me with the disease he wanted me to have even though he admitted the symptoms didn’t completely fit. Really his medical assistant was the most appalling- I’ve never been talked down to or treated so poorly by any doctor or doctor’s staff before. The whole experience was rushed because HE was over 30 minutes late to the appt. Never going back.

Beware of Dr. Izor. If you check his reviews you'll find a common theme, he has zero bedside manner. He is rude, dismissive, and extremely arrogant. My final straw was at my last appointment when not once, but twice grabbed me without warning or explanation during an exam. The first to pull my neck and upper torso backwards into an unnatural position that was incredibly painful...and held it there for over a minute. The second was to grab my neck with both hands and forcefully twist it to the left -- not even five seconds after he asked *me* to look left. No warning. No explanation. No acknowledgement. Both were incredibly painful. I have a neuro disorder that causes my left side neck muscles to essentially be locked in a 24/7 charlie horse. His reaction to me saying he hurt me? Eye roll, shoulder shrug, and a claim of overreaction due to "depression and anxiety". Ask you to perform a neuro exam then ignore findings and just dismiss as depression. When has depression ever caused foot drop and inability to do finger to nose, finger tap, and draw a spiral? Belittle, demean, and insult you. Plus, he will alter your medical record.

I have an essential tremor that must be treated with medication. I have been a patient of Dr. Izor's since 2015. He has had a physician's Assistant ever since. I have only seen Dr. Izor once, so I can't comment on his care. I can however say that the front office billing department is very rude. I have been a self pay patient for the last year. I have seen the PA 3 times. Each time I have been charged $80. Today I was to have an appointment and they wanted to charge me $165 for a PHONE appointment for a med refill. I asked why the change. The girl, Elisa got very rude and said that was the new price and hung up. Not sure I am going to get the appointment.

My second complaint is that this office pushes brain stimulators very hard. Every visit since I began using Izor, the PA would try to hard sell me on getting a brain stimulator installed. The one time I saw the Izor personally back in 2015, he too pushed the brain stimulator very hard. I can only guess that he collects fees for monitoring the stimulator. I have told them I am not going to get a brain stimulator at least a dozen times. If he tries to push this on you I suggest you get a second opinion. Also ask them how much they make on the procedure, since all they are doing is sending you to surgeon.

Dr Izor who specializes in movement disorders spends more time discussing his protein drink and prescribing hormone replacement than he does reading your chart before you arrive. Not once did I feel he'd reviewed my chart prior to my arrival, nor did he ever remember our previous conversations. He is insensitive and cares more about doing surgery than caring for those he's performed it on. If you are being told you're a great candidate for DBS do your research, ask for other opinions. After all, it's your brain not a tooth ache. Although DBS is helpful for the majority of those that it's performed on, I was one of his 15% that it wasn't an optimal experience. He describes the surgery as if it's a piece of cake....it's not!!! The fiducials are not just a bee sting they hurt me immeasurably. And, after having had the surgery and a not so good result he can't understand why I have issues with having it done again....HELLO....you might want to not judge those sitting across from you about their unwillingness to undergo another surgery before you have your first fiducial screwed in your skull and your first burr hole drilled while awake on the operating table!!!!!

This guy is only interested in money. The patient is not on his radar. I had a brief phone conversation with his appointment secretary and his insurance clerk. I went in for initial visit, evaluation and diagnosis. Before I saw his nurse for vitals I was presented with a bill of $6600+ for "my out-of-pocket portion of the treatment for the year". He had diagnosed my condition and prescribed treatment based on my three minute conversation with his insurance clerk.

I have found another neurologist who did not demand a wallet biopsy before her nurse took my blood pressure.

Dr. Izor was more concerned about my weight then the movement disorder he was supposed to be treating. I certainly did not go to neurologist to talk about my weight

I had DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) surgery for both sides of my brain, for essential tremor. It was 100% effective. Dr. Izor was in the operating room during the procedure, testing me to make sure the electrodes were in exactly the right place. Over the eleven months since the operation Dr Izor and his well-trained staff have continually adjusted the device so that I am able to write, paint, do carpentry work, cast a fishing lure, and carry on most of the activities I could when I was younger (I am 73). In short, I got my life back. In addition, Dr. Izor counsels me about how to keep my brain healthy and delay cognitive decline. So I think Dr. Izor and his staff are an eleven out of ten.

Seems to be experienced and pushes the treatment bubble. I am a new patient and I like the flexibility I am given with the DBS control

I have been a patient of Dr. Izor's for almost 9 years. His staff was always great. No doubt that he is brilliant and knows his field. He recommended that I have DBS surgery done and I did. For 4 years I went to DBS programming sessions and saw 5 to 6 of his assistants who all approached the programming differently. We started at square with each assistant, many not reading what had not worked in the past, etc. In the end, and as PD started to progress and the programming started to not be as effective, he gave up on working with me. When the going got tough, he bailed out and said, "it won't hurt my feelings if you want to seek advice from another doctor". Shame on you Dr. Izor.
