After reading the below comments, I had to add my experiences. Dr. Mickelson was my doctor for years. She is a true professional and cared deeply about my health. I cannot tell you how many times i depended on her solid advice over the years I have seen her. She always took her time and made sure i was totally clear in my understanding of my health. I trust her completely. I have not had an anal pap smear, but when i googled it, every procedure involved collecting samples with a cotton swab. Hopefully the misinformation given below by these two friends to discredit her dont lead to anyone having substandard care. Dr Mickelson is awesome. My only dissapointment is that when I went to see her again, I found out she had left practice to care for her dying father full time in the last years of his life . Didn't surprise me though, as that is the kind of unselfish person she is.

Dr. Mickelson utilized past experience instead of an evidence based practice which lead her to misdiagnose an emergency medical condition in the ER. She then failed to response to my phone call the next day as I had continued severe pain. The second ob-gyn I saw immediately took me into emergency surgery which I should have had 3 days prior when I saw Dr. Mickelson in the ER.
