Avoid avoid avoid!!! So crazy the review below is EXACTLY what happened to my aunt. She misadiagnoised her until my aunt was lethargic and slurring her words when we took her to the hospital. They found her kidney function was down to 5% AND she had to start dialysis immediately. She spent a week on the hospital because they were worried about her kidney. It's so sad and disappointing doctors like this are still allowed to practice . Please avoid unless you also want to get blindsided by a horrible medical condition that could've been caught earlier. She shouldn't be practicing!!

Dr Mina is the worst doctor I've ever met in my life, to get appointment is kind of fighting to be in the office. Adding to this which is so important that she was treating my husband foralmost five years from blood pressure and diabetes instead of referral him to a specialist , she gave him the medication and it's end up to a kidney failure which caused by the high blood medicines and led to dehydration, when I called Dr Mina many times to explain to me why my husband had dehydration she didn't call me back at all. After he discharged from the hospital, he went for appointment her husband and the other receiptionist left him for about two hours, then they told him sorry Dr Mina can't see you because of your insurance is not active. My husband has two insurances and both are active. He came home so tired and angry. We went to another family doctor, he asked right away to make 24 urine analysis and blood work and at the same day he informed us that my husband has a kidney failure. It was shocked to both of us and,I returned back to her office to ask for my husband"s medical records, I found out that his creatinine was high than normal two years ago and she didn't mention the result for us and he didn't even went to a specialist to take care of it.
I don't recommend any patient to go to Dr Mina unless he has like simple issue, and hope if she can even take care of that.
We had very bad experience with Dr Mina and I tell everyone I love and care not to go to her.

COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! When I called to make the initial appt. with Randa, her receptionist put me on hold thrice, could only offer an appointment about four weeks away, tried to fob me off on the nurse-practitioner instead, and proceeded to play 21 questions, asking if I was taking or had taking illegal drugs, controlled substances, etc... Mind you, Randa is not a pain-management specialist, just an IP, so what the purpose of those questions was, I can't say.

So, for a month, Randa was my PCP on paper, though not in actual practice. I never even received a call to confirm my appt., so I had to call the office and leave a voice-mail message the day before I was scheduled. Appt. day rolled around, no reply whatsoever. I called again, later that morning, and was snapped at by the receptionist.

I reached the office, and realized I'd forgoten my insurance card. The receptionist had taken down all of my insurance info when I'd made the appointment, but I was told to drive back and bring my insurance card before I could see the doctor; that would be a one hour trip on the best of days, but there was an accident on the highway, jamming traffic. When I finally arrived with the card, the receptionist acted snide and exclaimed (in front of the staff) 'She DID come back!', as if I would miss an appt. I HAD TO WAIT A MONTH FOR.

From the time I arrived with my insurance cards to the time I was seen by Randa was an almost hour and a half, and Randa only spent about 15-20 minutes with me, in total. Despite it being my first visit, they only took two of my vitals (weight and BP). After asking a series of irrelevant personal questions, Randa discovered that one of my family members is a well-known doctor in that area, and repeatedly asked why I wasn't being seen by my relative instead. For those who don't know: treating a relative or close friend is considered to be poor medical ethics, not that Randa appears to know or care. If she doesn't understand or adhere to basic medical ethics, who's to say she comprehends or even respects HIPAA?

In the 15-20 minutes Randa actually spent with me, she revealed herself to be dangerously misinformed, and her actual knowledge about my immune disorder was 20-30 years outdated. She didn't seem to recognize that there was more than one variation of the disease; that would be like a doctor lecturing you about diabetes, without understanding which of the two types you have, or even that there is more than one type . When she asked if I adhered to the diet prescribed for my immune disorder, I said 'yes', to which she exclaimed, "But that's so expensive!". Elimination diets may be restrictive, but aren't inherently expensive, as anyone who avoids sodium, sugar, meat, dairy, etc... can attest to. Randa seemed disturbingly incompetent and completely out of her depth.

Randa prescribed some bloodwork, tried to fob me off on a specialist for a separate condition, and told me she would see me in ANOTHER MONTH (I've been told that you're actually supposed to see a new patient after a couple of weeks - sooner if test results are involved) and shooed me out to her receptionist. I made the follow-up appt. but forgot to ask for the specialist's exact name (Randa had trouble pronouncing and spelling it), and also for a script for one of my medications.

So I called back a couple of days later, only to reach the voicemail. I left a message during normal office hours (which the voicemail greeting claimed ended around 4:00 or 4:30 PM), but never received a reply. Thus, I called back on Monday and spoke to her nephew (Nota Bene: of the 4 staff members that I saw at that office, 2 were disheveled-looking teenagers), once again asking for a call back from Randa, to discuss my medication, the specialist she wanted to refer me to, and also the way her office was run (Randa may be dumber than a box of rocks, but I felt that she deserved to be aware of the issues with her staff). Apparently, Randa felt differently. Not long after leaving the message, I received a voicemail from one 'Lynne Upton', claiming that she had just spoken to Randa, who'd told her that if I "can't tell her what [I] need to speak to her about, then [I] can't get a return phone call. These are her EXACT words". Randa never came across as the brightest bulb in the fixture, to put it politely, but did she really not comprehend that I was calling to discuss my medication, the specialist she wanted me to see, and her complete train-wreck of an office? Did she think I was calling just to shoot the breeze with her?!?

I called back spoke to Lynne Upton at length, discussing the issues with the way the office was run and asking why I hadn't received a response to the message I'd left Friday on afternoon. Lynne Upton claimed that a different receptionist was working on Friday (Michelle, I believe) and that she was not with them anymore (which STILL doesn't explain why no-one bothered to check the voicemail messages, first thing on MONDAY) and that I hadn't called during their business hours. I explained to 'Lynne Upton' that, according to the voicemail greeting, I had indeed left the message during normal business hours, with a couple of hours to spare. 'Lynne Upton' corrected me by claiming that she was aware of the business hours indicated in the voicemail, that those were the hours that Randa wanted to be listed on the voicemail, but that the actual business hours on Friday ended much earlier (2:00 or 2:30, I believe). I couldn't believe my ears. I can't say for sure if Lynne Upton's claim is true, but given what I've seen and heard from Randa's office, I'm frankly not surprised that she would do something as unethical as intentionally misleading her patients about her actual office hours.

In my opinion, Randa and her office are a disgrace to the profession. AVOID THEM.

Going to Dr. Mina was an amazing experience. She was so sweet, understanding, patient and quick! She provided multiple options to help along my recovery, and called me back quite a few times to make sure I was okay after seeing her. She genuinely cares about her patients, and works extremely hard. I have been to many doctors, and NONE were as dedicated and as talented as Dr. Randa Mina

I am a cash patient. Everything with this doctor is pay a fee and come into the office, even after you have already paid her. She wouldn't sent me my results in the mail or fax them. Her nurse said she would sit the results under the trash can for me to get but would not fax them to me..how unprofessional is that. My pharmacist has to always argue with the doctor's staff because they are rude and unprofessional, and they talk to the pharmacist nasty as well. In order for me to get my results from the doctor I am told to make another appointment pay another doctor's fee which I shouldn't have to do to get results that she would be giving to me anyway. I had to go to the hospital to get my results. I had to have another doctor tell me what results were but my doctor wanted me to pay another fee to her. I am looking for another doctor because her beside manner is horrible. I believe because I am a cash patient that every little thing she wants me to pay for it.
