I am shocked to see all those negative comments. I have very high regards of Dr. Anoma Bandara. She knows what she saw and can give the right medicines to the problem. Every time I needed referral doctors, Dr. Bandara always came up with one of the best doctors. I have seen her since 1999 and I had cancer in 2005, she referred me to the best doctor in town. One referral after another, I have seen 4 or 5 specialists through Dr. Bandara's office. She cares about her patients. Her staff might mess up sometimes, but that should not influence people's judgement about doctors. I know for fact, one could have complete different opinion about one doctor than other people. So, it is better to weight in all good reviews and bad reviews, not just trust in one bad reviews and make the conclusion of that doctor. I always got appointment if I was sick. Dr. Bandara has to type things on computer since their office was required by the new organization rule. I don't see anything wrong with that. A lot of other doctors are doing the same thing. Please be fair to this doctor.

Ever since this practice was taken over by Adventist Medical, service has bottomed out. Completely horrible. I have been referred to Dr. Jain over at the Germantown office when I have not been able to get an appointment with Dr. Bandara. Same over there. Completely horrible experience.

Dr Bandara is an arrogant, surly and uncaring doctor. She treated me with an utter lack of respect, talking down to me, firing off questions from the computer she sits at and not giving me time to answer or accusing me of doing something wrong. She should have her licence revoked for malpractice !

I suffered with those people trying to get my own record by myself . Plus I had an appointment for check up. Dr wasn't listening at all to any of my concerns and on the other hand she was replying in a mean way. Example. I want to lose wait, do u have any suggestion?? Dr replied NO. Wow, really . Don't wanna go through the whole visit because I wasn't really satisfied with anything at the office.

I am baffled on how the previous comment bellow is unaccurate. Gosh this office is worst than Bravo Pediatrics over their in A-12. The worst decision was to have choosen Anoma Bandara as my primary physician. She is on vacation most of the time so i have to be seen by " doctors" that are clearly only their to collect their salary. I constantly have to give them an idea about what i have and they dont have a clue. The nurse Malina should have been fired years ago. I called the office trying toget a doctors note that i has forgotten and she said " i doubt that Dr. Vazar will want to give you one so ill call you tommorrow to let you know" she never called back. " Dr. Vazar is down right horrible, unprofessional, and incompetent, she does not shake your hand, and acts like she doesnt care. I kid you not, she was in the room for two minuets and left. Prescribed me Amoxicilan and no pain killer for my pain. They lost my medical records so this was the last straw. Your better off at the ER.

I am baffled by the majority of the comments here regarding how crowded the waiting room is. I am able to call first thing in the morning when her office opens and have an appointment by the end of the day if I so desire most of the time. And when I get there I rarely see more than one or two people in the waiting room. I can't see how the waiting room can be crowded seeing as she's the only doctor in the office and they don't double book. She is very helpful and knowledgable about medicine and will, if possible, refer you to doctors in the Montgomery Village Professional Center instead of having to traipse halfway across the county like my previous doctor. The staff is friendly and knows what they're doing. Dr. Bandara is a wonderful doctor who I will keep going back to.

I used to think Bandara was the Best. Caustious, but knowledgeable. amazed at wheight loss when I had lost...however, a lump I had after melanoma was malignant...I had had cellulitis from lymph node removal and was unable to acquire an antibiotic and she told me to go to the emergency room as her office closed at 5. Had I gotten in, an antibiotic was all I needed, instead I waited forever in emergency with high fever and noise overnight. Staff has a lot to be desired, esp when they close at lunch time and noone can assist or answer the phone; the last time they were having a party-this latter situation made me switch. the clintiel seems mostly Montgomery village diversified. and the waiting room is crowded

I have had this doctor for approximately 4 years and am very pleased with the services she's provided my daughters and myself. I am shocked at the negative comments as my expeirence with her practice is opposite from those. Dr. Bandara timely caught a number of my medical issues, including my appendicitis, and has been gently chiding me about attending to other medical issues--this by the way, is the right appraoch for me, since I resist any overbearing doctor. Furthermore, the condescending comments by one rater who identifies Dr. Bandara's clients as ill-informed should be made aware that Dr. Bandara has a varied clientele base--all ethnicities and apparently different income levels. Moreover, I've never observed her staff as surly or rude. To the contrary, in person and on the phone, they've been efficient, most helpful, and have contributed to the family atmosphere I've felt in her office.

Very surprising to see the other comments here. Dr. Bandara is my primary care physician (and my wife's, and my Dad's) and saw me through my own lymphoma and other family medical crises. Always made time for me; always found me approriate referrals (incl the oncologist that kept me alive); always a professional office. I just can't reconcile my experience to that of others.
