I have always checked out reviews for everything from a recipe to a product to dentists or doctors. So, I felt like I would be negligent if I didn't leave a review here. A year and a half ago, my left hip started hurting. The pain radiated from the hip to my knee to my ankle. I tried everything from acupuncture, cupping, acupressure, chiropractic, and massage therapy. Nothing worked. I finally decided I needed to look at other options. I called the Windward Orthopedic Group in Kailua and set up a meeting with Dr. Rasmussen. She was wonderful. She explained what was going on with my hip and how it could be fixed. She was thorough and kind and funny, and quickly put me right at ease. On October 3rd, I went in for a complete hip replacement. Two months later, I am walking around without any limp or pain. AMAZING! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. RASMUSSEN, and the entire Windward Orthopedic Group team. I have only good things to say about their skill and professionalism.

Dr. Rasmussen is an excellent doctor! The surgery went better than I expected and I was functioning without my cane in 3 weeks. She is thorough and explains everything so it’s easy to understand! Highly recommend!!

I found out too late, after my surgery that went wrong.
Office staff is very rude and racist (bashes white females).

Dr. Rasmussen is not only a very talented orthopedic surgeon but is a caring and compassionate individual who truly cares about her patients and their wellbeing. After having two complete hip replacements I would certainly recommend her highly. Dr. Rasmussen takes time to talk to you and explains the procedures to be done so you can understand and alleviate your fears.

Had numerous visits with Doctor Rasmussen after a broken knee cap. Initial visit, surgery, follow-up surgery, follow-up physical therapy. All in person, all excellent experiences to include doctor and her staff.

Dr. Rasmussen performed complete knee replacement surgery on my right knee six weeks ago. I can now walk without the aid of any orthopedic device. Moreover there is no pain. I consider Dr. Linda Rasmussen as the finest orthopedic surgeon in the state.

Dr. Rasmussan is a true orthopedic artist. I am currently into my 4th week post full knee replacement, at 71 years old. I’m up walking, gardening, cooking, and exercising.
I’ve been given the green light to resume driving, and to exercise at the Y pool or go in the ocean. This is my 2nd knee replacement ( 2004). Dr. Rasmussan’s compassionate care is shown by her dedication to patient care and good communication. Pre and post viewing of your X-ray reveals your joints’ status. I was a #12 on #1 to 10 scale, bone spurs, out of alignment and bone on bone. Office staff respond quickly to inquiry and appointments. My surgery was only 2 weeks after diagnosis. Dr. Rassmasen has a holistic approach, wisely recommending specific food selections that promote healing. Dr. Rassmasen is a brilliant, skillful surgeon who is an asset contributing to the physical functionality of our friends and family and the broader community. No one should hesitate choosing surgery to improve your life. Dr. Rassmasen will better your overall enjoyment for life.

Dr. Rasmussen performed a full hip replacement on my left hip and did a fabulous job! I Haverty had any bruising, the incision was glued shut so the scarring is minimal and I'm almost back to 100% just five weeks post surgery!
She is extremely gentle and I don't have any numbness or loss of sensation. I am overly pleased with the outcome and so grateful that the VA referred me to her! I highly recommend her to anyone needing a hip replacement.
Side note: if you need a walker the VA sucks and it takes weeks but you can get one for about $12-$15 from your local Goodwill store. That's what I did.
