Dr. Sarma is such a good oncologist in that he puts his diagnosis into terms you can understand which helps you handle your recovery at home. But above all, Dr. Sarma takes the time to listen! I cannot remember a doctor who just sat and listened to how you’ve felt, how you’re feeling and what to expect down the road. Highly recommend

Biography

As a graduate of the Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Sarma focuses on high-quality, attentive, and personalized care for the cancer patient. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. Dr. Sarma is a general oncologist with extensive experience with lymphoma and head and neck cancer patients. He has an interest in quality of care and currently serves on the CancerLinQ Advisory Group for the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Sarma joined Virginia Cancer Specialists after serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Regional Care Center in Sugar Land, TX. Dr. Sarma enjoys travel, great food, gardening, and music. He and his wife have three children.
