I was treated for Hep C by Dr. Balani many years ago when the treatment was 11 months long and very arduous. Dr. Balani was straightforward and patient and guided me through this terrible time and I completed my treatment after she taught me to "embrace the pain" - I am now 70 years old and Thanx to Dr. Balani and the staff I am still Hep C free. Today I was told I was cured of hepatitis c. The treatment worked this time around. I was well taken care of by the doctor and her staff. I encourage others to fight their liver disease with the help of the hackensack medical center staff. Treatment was hard to get through but the support given and the positive outcome made it all possible and worthwhile. You are in good hands at this hospital.

Dr. Balani is the best. She is one of those very few doctors who remember and practice according to their oath of serving humanity. She is my heroin. May God keep her for a long time for patients like me.
