I had a scheduled appointment to which I was running late. I called his receptionist at his office to inform her that I would be 30-minutes late. I asked if this would be alright, or should I reschedule. She told me that it would be alright and to come out anyway although there would be a few patients ahead of me. When I arrived a half-hour later than originally scheduled, his staff, aware of my lateness, asked me to have a seat in the waiting room. I didn't mind having to wait an hour while other patients went in before me. But, what did upset me is that after waiting an hour, the receptionist came out and told me that the doctor requested that I reschedule my appointment for a later time due to my being late, even though the receptionist who I had spoken with before leaving home was quite aware that I would be arriving one-half hour later than originally scheduled, and she told me to come anyway that it would be alright. When I was informed after driving to Dr. Jack's office and waiting for an hour before being notified that I would have to reschedule, the waiting room was now empty meaning that there were no more patients waiting to be seen. Dr. Jack COULD have seen me at that time, understanding that his receptionist told me to come anyway despite being late. Because of his rudeness, unprofessionalism, and lack of respect for one of his patients, I would never go back to him as a patient and I would not recommend him to a friend or family member. He is knowledgeable, but he is a pompous jerk when dealing with other people and their time.
