Dr. was told twice that my daughter was not to get HPV so-called vaccine. The first time my daughter goes to Dr. without me, Dr pressures my wife into letting her give the 'vaccine'. Merck Drug Company, you have a fine ambassador in Dr. Atlas. I'm sure you pay her well.

I have had many appointments with Dr. Atlas over the last three years with my two children. They have all been excellent experiences. I would recommend her highly.

I don't understand the previous ratings given this doctor. My daughter has been her doctor for over five years and have never once had a rude encounter or a disagreement. I have been to several doctors in the past with her since we have lived in several cities, and I think Dr. Atlas far exceeds expectations in the way she treats her and also in her explanations. She practices preventative medicine and I think that is important. I would highly recommend her.

It definitely takes a certain kind of person to be a patient of Dr. Atlas's and after our third appointment we knew we were not those kind. She is overly opinionated, confrontational and doesn't listen to concerns. She wants to get in get the job done and get out. Our daughter has some ongoing digestive issues that still haven't cleared up and I felt as though I was being brushed to the side since things have not improved. Not much compassion comes from her. She's definitely a great doctor if you only have to see her once a year and you don't have any ongoing problems, but from my experience she wants to tell you what to do and how to do it and there is no other way. She wanted to argue every which way about my 9 month olds pacifier usage and how I was going to ruin her teeth and palate. Given my current problems with her digestive system I told her my concern about that was little and I was not going to be worried about her sucking a pacifier at the moment. It was ridiculous. We may try someone else in the practice, otherwise this was our last visit with her.

We have been going to Dr. Atlas for 11 years. She is straight-forward & tells you exactly what her opinion is. She is very strong about every child taking the flu vaccine & even the H1N1 vaccine. She wanted my 11-y-o daughter to also take Guardasil, the cervical cancer vaccine, which I declined. She does not like it when you decline vaccines, but she knows the patient can refuse. Also, the other thing about Dr. Atlas is that she does not easily prescribe medications, even if the child is sick. She is a strong believer that the child just has to "ride out" the virus, that antibacterial medications (antibiotics) do not help. So, if you are the type of person that thinks that each illness or cold needs an antibiotic, do not go to her, b/c she will most likely not prescribe anything. Dr. Atlas is a competent doctor who tells it like it is. The nurses are all so sweet & kind. And the best part is that they always find time to squeeze you in for sick child appointments.

My daughter has been suffering multiple febrile seizures since the age of 17 months. Her 1st seizure came a day after getting the MMR and 4 other vaccines in one sitting. At age 4 she had a seizure at this doctor's office and the nursing staff was phenomenal. It just so happened Dr. Atlas was not there that day. When we came in a week later for a follow up, Dr. Atlas greeted us with a reminder that our daughter was behind on her vaccines and would need 2 that day. We politely declined, explaining we were not anti-vaccines, but wanted to space things out given our daughter's medical history. We did not want to give her more than 1 shot at a time. Besides, she JUST had an infection, fever and seizure the week before. The doctor took offense, told us our daughter could not be her patient if we did not give her all of the vaccines that day. She said she would not be held liable and made us sign that we refused the vaccines. She did not even try to understand our position. Disappointing.
