Dr. Whitt is extremely caring, engaged and has provided excellent follow up. While she has pushed me to explore past the easy answers, I have never found her to be condescending or judgmental. And I have in fact recommended her to friends for care. She's a tremendous advocate for making change in your life - when you are ready to do so!

Patricia is intelligent, funny and caring. Sincerely interested in her work. Gifted at pulling together an accurate portrait of a client's situation. Flexible, pragmatic, openminded and proactive. Ready to recommend outside resources as needed.
I sympathize with a reviewer who had a bad first experience and remind myself that the first visit is the one where most tears fall. I have not experienced the judgmental tone the reviewer described. On my visits, Patricia has been professional and thorough— never cold. Her quickness to follow up on offers of additional information or research is supportive. With Patricia I know I have a wise helper in my corner and I would be happy to recommend her to friends in need.

I was absolutely shocked at her overall attitude and her lack of care as a professional. She was condescending, judgmental, and critical and overall not constructive. She did not get to know my whole story, yet she felt it OK to judge me and my life in an hour. Her response to every answer I gave, and I mean every answer, was that I have a “victim mentality”. I was hospitalized recently due to major depressive disorder (victim mentality). I am dealing with the sad recent estrangement of my mom (victim mentality), lost job (victim mentality), I am starting to have a hard time leaving the house (victim mentality). Then she asked very specific questions about dates and times, such as how much time went by from when I received bad news to when I had a breakdown. She would not take an approximate time. I could barely remember. When I could not remember simple things, she would give me the I-can't-believe-you-don't-remember-this-stuff judgmental eyes. Horrible experience.
