The doctor sent a preliminary report to my internist of a breast MRI stating I had a benign mass in my left breast. She did not identify the area or size of the mass. Her office had requested a previous breast MRI from another location and I was told she was waiting for comparison. My doctor received another report from Dr. Snuggs stating the area in the left breast she said was a "mass" was now a "skin tag!" Thats a big difference. In the follow up report, there was no note comparing the present MRI to the previous MRI. Her staff told me she was unable to open the file on the disc. I, too, got the previous MRI mailed to me, and I can open the file as a layperson!! I am not confident in this doctor! Also, her staff refused to mail a copy of the present MRI disc to my home after I faxed a release; Connie said it is against Shannon's policy. In reading HIPAA, it is against HIPAA's policy to refuse to mail to the patient. I would not use this facility again.
