Doctor Wingert was friendly and relatively patient. I don't believe that he was thorough with my exam and health issues. I was told that my many symptoms noted, were something a General Practitioner should exam and treat if necessary, not him, because he is a "thyroid doctor". I feel that he had stringent terms for a diagnoses of a thyroid problem. My symptoms were mostly common problems that occur with hypothyroid disease, but without a significant increase in my TSH-level (it was 3.03) and no signs of nodules or physical thyroid abnormality, I was told that there was no signs of thyroid disease. He gave me an analogy that involved other patients that he believed had symptoms that were psychosamatic. There was an implication that I may be a hypochondriac. He seemed a bit opinionated. I was surprised that he did not want to talk about my molar pregnancy (req. 4 mths of chemo), it is a hormone-driven cancer that affected my immune system. Doctor Wingert was still polite though.
