I went to see Dr. Collalto today and had told him I’ve been having back problems for years. I’ve done X-rays, MRI’s, shots, physical therapy, pain meds, etc. I’ve been told I’ve had bulging and crushed discs, my spine was narrowing at the bottom, and that I had degenerative disc disease. When Dr.Collalto came in to speak to me, he asked what my goal was. I told him I wanted the pain to go away or at least be lessened so it wasn’t so agonizing. He said “well that’s everyone’s goal coming here”. Like yes, I would think so. He said I had two options: physical therapy or a shot. I told him I’ve done both and neither helped. He told me he didn’t know what kind of magical thing I was looking for to get better and told me I could either get a shot or do physical therapy. I told him I wouldn’t do either since they don’t help. He said okay let him know if I change my mind and left the room. I will NEVER be going back to this practice. They’re rude and arrogant and have no compassion for others.

zero rating on all IF I COULD. 3 appts in I finally realized this guy should not have a license to practice! GAVE HIM BENEFIT OF DOUBT. HES NASTY, Arrogant, self centered, rude, uncaring, money hungry. Nurse Roseann NASTY too. Me and my teen daughter left there crying from his insensitive dismissive comments to her; "your pain is not that bad", "i have patients much worse than you". HE SHOULD LOOSE HIS LICENSE! I have reported him to my insurance company and disputed the $60 (x3) co-pays paid! DO NOT SUPPORT HIS CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT TO PRACTICE! HE SHOULD LOOSE HIS LICENSE. False insurance claims too, never gave reflex tests or examinations that are on the claim to my ins co. How can he possibly in a 3.5 min visit!!! HE IS A FRAUD!!!!

Giving Dr. Collalto one star is being kind. I waited for over an hour and during that time no one came in to the examining room room to explain why it was taking so long. I finally left and went to the front desk to get a refund of my co-pay. A few weeks later I got a statement from my insurance company that he had been paid for the visit. I never saw Dr. Collalto and it is my understanding that a diagnosis needs to be submitted along with the insurance claim. I wonder how many patients he diagnosis without seeing them.

I was a workers comp injury, I had great pain in my lower back. I called the front office where they listened to my story of being seen after the accident by the insurance co. doctors.
I could not be treated by HO due to the insurance co. demands that only workers comp doctors
get paid! But if you would like to pay cash, a personal check or credit card would be fine you then could see one of our specialist. I paid the $450, to get Dr. Collalto opinion after reviewing my MRI , no issues where found, but if you like to get a shot it covered by the fee! I never went back, many of the stories told here were exactly what I had experienced during my 15 minutes with the doctor. After my surgery to reattach my L5/S1 joint to the sacrum, I was glad no issues were found!

This doctor's 'star' ratings are inflated by his helpful staff and the fact they run fairly punctually. The doctor himself, though, has a terrible bedside manner. I have been in pain for years and am trying to determine the cause of it and if there is anything I can do. Dr. Collalto made me lift my arms over my head and do one or two other basic range of motion exercises and told me I was 'normal' and said there was nothing wrong with me - this took him all of 60 seconds to determine. He also told me some people have serious problems, implying that I was wasting his and my time. Please keep in mind that I told him beforehand that range of motion is not my problem - I have never had nor claimed that I had painful motion. He did not seem to pay attention and instead wanted to chat about his med school days before perfunctorily dismissing me with wrong information about billing for tests. I need to return to this office for a follow up and will ask for another doctor.

Not good. He very quickly recommended a shot in my back which I said ok since he said would take care of pain fast. Right after shot I got itchy and nauseous and nurse was kind an agreed that I may be allergic to something in shot. I laid down, Dr. Collalto came in and said in no way was I allergic to anything is the shot, that it was all in my head, that I am just afraid of shots. Let me tell you, it was not all in my head. He told me nothing of possible side effects, and that night my back seized up so bad that I could not move. I called the on staff nurse who was also rude and said, well yes, like didn't I know that is a common side effect? And that it will get worse before it gets better and will take 12-24 hours to get back to normal. Not even a follow up call the next morning. I wish I read these prior posts. The shot did not help at all. I am leaving this practice and going to another. I agree - he should retire.

Dr C. totally misdiagnosed my back. Told me I had a bulged disc and to get over it, that other people have bigger problems. Went to different dr and had 2 fractures and had a nine hour surgery. Do not go to him. He makes you feel like a burden and treats you like you are an idiot.
