In my very first session with Dr Spector, I knew the type of doctor he was. He’s belittling, insulting, and has zero humanity. He’s an ego-maniac, a narcissist, and he has the worst God complex I’ve ever seen. He threatened to withhold my medication and when I got visibly upset, he flipped his hand in the air and said he wasn’t interested. Why are doctors like this permitted to practice? I’ve read countless number of horrible reviews about him and you would think someone would alert the AMA. Maybe its time someone do that. Unfortunately, he’s already threatening to withhold my medication, so if I did something like go to the AMA, I’m afraid to even imagine what he’d do to me. He scares me because I went to him for help and with high hopes. He failed me and abused me on my way down to the gutter. He enjoyed watching that. I wish I could leave, but I can’t find another doctor who is available before the spring, and I’m in need of medication management now. One day I’ll find another doctor and I’ll pick up what’s left of me and walk away and never look back. If anyone reads this review, please take this as a warning. No joke. I’m not a disgruntled patient because he didn’t give me my way. No. Not at all. I’ve met many psychiatrists over the past 30 years, I’m very capable of spotting the ones that will hurt you more than you can imagine. He’s not an ethical doctor. Do yourself a favor, save yourself a lot of hardship. Don’t see him. Find a different doctor. Don’t get stuck like me. 🥲

By the way, if you choose to ignore this review and you do make an appointment, beware of his staff. They are rude, insensitive, and they lie to the doctor about you. To get along, you have to bow to them, be overly thankful, and never question them. They’re psycho all unto themselves.

He is very knowledgable in terms of treating psychiatric concerns but his real knowledge is seen when treating using alternative medicine in combination with psych complaints or for other complaints, like CHRONIC PAIN. He is profoundly astute in the body's various pathways that are disturbed when pain disrupts the cycle and how these different medications fall in line to help ease your pain. I have suffered from chronic pain in my neck and back from multiple surgeries and failed surgeries for greater than 20 years. His adjunctive therapies have made a profound difference and I am extremely grateful.

More concerned about money than patient care, staff make mistakes and unless you can prove it you get charged 180.00 - also will withold prescriptions till all money paid - even if said prescriptions cause withdrawal as is the case with antidepressants - very poor practice!!!

I had originally issued a review that wasn't very positive. I wanted to also add, that although Dr. Spector's personality had clashed with mine, I believe that he does do his job. He definitely was knowledgeable -- he's a doctor! He's there to listen and find a solution, and I think that he did exactly that. I think I was looking more for comfort than an actual solution. I also forgot to add that his staff was extremely friendly and overall deserves a better rating that I had done initially.

He is a great Doctor. He's not going to be your best friend. Dr. Spector does care. His wife Dana is very pleasant and nice.

He refused to see me again until a missed appt charge of $180 was paid in full. He is all about the money, I left the office feeling belittled and worthless. I will never go to any Pshych dr again. It's people like this that make you want to give up on life.
