In my very first session with Dr Spector, I knew the type of doctor he was. He’s belittling, insulting, and has zero humanity. He’s an ego-maniac, a narcissist, and he has the worst God complex I’ve ever seen. He threatened to withhold my medication and when I got visibly upset, he flipped his hand in the air and said he wasn’t interested. Why are doctors like this permitted to practice? I’ve read countless number of horrible reviews about him and you would think someone would alert the AMA. Maybe its time someone do that. Unfortunately, he’s already threatening to withhold my medication, so if I did something like go to the AMA, I’m afraid to even imagine what he’d do to me. He scares me because I went to him for help and with high hopes. He failed me and abused me on my way down to the gutter. He enjoyed watching that. I wish I could leave, but I can’t find another doctor who is available before the spring, and I’m in need of medication management now. One day I’ll find another doctor and I’ll pick up what’s left of me and walk away and never look back. If anyone reads this review, please take this as a warning. No joke. I’m not a disgruntled patient because he didn’t give me my way. No. Not at all. I’ve met many psychiatrists over the past 30 years, I’m very capable of spotting the ones that will hurt you more than you can imagine. He’s not an ethical doctor. Do yourself a favor, save yourself a lot of hardship. Don’t see him. Find a different doctor. Don’t get stuck like me. 🥲
By the way, if you choose to ignore this review and you do make an appointment, beware of his staff. They are rude, insensitive, and they lie to the doctor about you. To get along, you have to bow to them, be overly thankful, and never question them. They’re psycho all unto themselves.
