Do not use this person. He lied to my husband and said I called him to complain about him when it was a private session that I had with him. Of course I did not go back and he charged me $180 for my missed appointment.

I was under his care for about 6 months, I became more sick than when I started. Both he and his wife are very strange. He seems incapable of compassion. He uses medication doses that are way too high. He spoke with my primary care provider via the telephone and was very rude to her. He once used vulgar profanity during one of our appointments

Once was a concerned doctor who attempted to advocate for the patient. That was years ago! Get out your checkbook. Better have a good reason to cancel an appointment 2 days in advance or it could cost you anywhere from $150-$180. The newest office assistant is just a buffer intended to interact with the patients, while the real muscle of the office (his wife Dana) sits in the adjacent office counting the money. Dr. Spector is pompous and pretentious. He is liberal with medications and is quick to increase dosages and switch medications. He claims to be competent in substance use/abuse, but is okay with writing you a script for an ample amount of benzos. I am not the only patient that he has over medicated. I have spoken to various providers from different mental health settings who claim to have had patients who left his care due to over medication, lack of compassion, poor treatment outcomes, as well as various personality conflicts. He is "strange" to say the least. It becomes very evident that if it wasn't printed by an ivy league school, is endorsed by a highly regarded or expensive source, have a brand name, have a high price tag, or demonstrates some facade of status then it isn't worth a thing to him. You are liking paying for his family's lifestyle, not his care. His trips to Europe and his $100+ 2 oz. tube of anti-wrinkle cream.... His son Max's adult toys. If you get a chance to meet his wife or sister-in-law Wilma, you will see that his "business earnings" are well spent on tasteless outfits, anti-aging treatments that aren't working, and bad hair dye.

I'm in the process of searching for another doctor!

His wife, (Dana) is a miserable and materialistic, narcissistic whom is only there for money. She has no compassion for the ill. Dr. Spector is okay in comparison to my present Doctor. Dr. Spector likes to adjust medications and always experimenting. He reads books on the shelves that are next to his chair for a reference because he is a bit declined with psychiatric knowledge.

This doctor is uncaring and cold. His wife runs the office and is a money-hungry demon who is even more cold-hearted than her husband. One missed appointment will cost you $180!! Even if you've been stable on meds for months, he makes you come back every 4 weeks. They only care about your money... NOT you!

He is very knowledgable and will work with you to deal with the concerns and issues you have. He does not push unnecessary medications. He really tries to focus on your mood and takes a personal interest in what you are living. I believe he strives for one receiving a quality of life.
