Conservative old-school doctor. Went to him once and got the heck outta there.

Dr. Stanley Chew has been our family doctor for 15 years. Prior to that he was primary care physician for my mother. He is thed type of family you used to have 40 years ago. He keeps his cell phone on 24 hours a day and will take our call anytime. He seldom goes on vacation because he feels he needs to be available for his patients. If he ever retires we are going to be lost. Dr. Chew is the kind of doctor that you don't often find. He's always kept his appointments spread out so that you are never kept waiting. He limits the number of patients. Quality rather than quantity. He keeps excellent records.

Dr. Chew has been our family physician for 12 years now. I was looking for a better physician for my elderly mother. She was going through some pretty terrible times with her previous doctor (She was on a medical plan where the doctor got paid a fixed sum each month for her whether she visited him or not. He showed no interest in treating her ) When we found Dr. Stanley Chew it was like night and day. He was very attentive, thorough and gave her the best care one could hope for. He was my mother's primary doctor up until the day she died. He was there when they removed the life support equipment. Since he was such a good doctor, my own family started using him. The only drawback is that we live about 25 miles away from his office so every trip to see him is a big trip. However, we'd rather make the big trip than to get a doctor closer by who might not be as attentive as he is. He's the only reason we've kept our PPO plan and haven't gone over to Kaiser.
