I've had both knees (torn meniscus) repaired and both collar bones reduced by Dr. Merkow. He also replaced my mother's hip at the age of 82. All results were very good. He has also diagnosed two additional problems for which he referred me to one of his partners. I was very pleased with his calm demeanor and considerable knowledge.

I had a ganglion cyst in my right wrist that was very painful and I needed removed. I went in for my consulatation, waited 1 hours before he saw me, barely looked at it and scheduled a surgery. Ok, fine. Then I went into the clinic for my surgery where I was hooked up to an IV for TWO hours before he came in. When he did, he tried to talk me out of the surgery... I couldn't believe it. After the surgery the scar was bad and the stitch job was even worse. The cyst wasn't removed and is as painful as it was. Horrible doctor, do not go to him.

Misdiagnosed an infection and had a terrible bedside manner. Would not recognize any fault on his end and had tremendous ego which got in the way of correctly taking care of the situation. Would not recommend to anyone.
