I approved for Daniel to perform a small in-office procedure, as he said that it is included in the office visit with no additional charge. After the visit, I was correctly billed $300 for the office visit.
One year after the visit, I suddenly received an altered bill with an additional $1000 item for the in-office procedure, in addition to the original $300 visit.
Will report to CMS. I suggest that all patients record your conversation with your doctor to protect your legal rights.
