This guy is a hack. He is happy to cut you up but doesn't care what happens afterwards. He'll leave you in debilitating pain and won't care. Stay away! You've been warned!

Dr. Basu recently completed my Gallbladder removal surgery at Holy Cross Hospital. He was friendly and reassuring during the pre-surgery office visit and explained everything. The nurses were excellent in pre-surgery preparation and post-surgery recovery. Dr. Basu visited and reassured me that everything would go smoothly. He had a friendly and humorous personality which helped to calm my anticipation. The surgery was minimally invasive with several small incisions covered by bandages. He visited in recovery to explain the successful procedure and I went home later that day. I was only on pain medication for a day or so and then just a little sore for a week. I had a complete recovery. Dr. Basu was excellent both as a surgeon and as person.

I had a lot of problems after surgery. I pull what looked like 3 inch piece of plastic out of one of the incisions (which wouldn't close) after six months. I had to go to another surgeon and have corrective surgery. Since the original surgery was June and repeat was Dec 20th. During the second surgery more stuff was pulled from the incision that wouldn't close and my body had formed scare tissue around it and cause the incision not to close. There was a great since of getting rid of you. I wish I had gone to the second surgeon first.

Dr. Abhijit Basu did rubber bang ligation on me and he absolutely cure my problem. I felt comfortable from the first time I visited the office Dr. Basu and the staff were all very professional and friendly. Holy cross is amazing thank you Dr. Basu

Had the same experience as the patient below. They operated on me for hemorrhoid however the pain I was feeling and that was initially reported has still not been resolved (1 year and a half after surgery) and apparently my problem is "physchological" because they don't know what's wrong. I was treated horribly after surgery.

The doctor and his staff did not care to hear about any problems I was having AFTER surgery. I was left on my own. The office staff has real lousy attitudes and are incompetent (the only answer I received was "I am not clinical" and I was not able to speak directly to the doctor until I wrote a letter. Do yourself a favor, go to someone else. Holy Cross Hospital and their staff was AWESOME!
