For years I had been fainting just about anywhere...parking lots, stores, etc. Upon getting to the ER by the EMTs, there was no indication of anything wrong. Dr. Walsh was able to determine that I have syncope which he is treating. I also have Orthostatic Hypotension associate with Hypertension. He is also treating me for this. I find him to be very personable and compassionate for this problem for which there is no cure. I will take any recommendation he makes for my care.

Dr. Walsh probably has the best education and training for cardiology problems of any cardiologist around. He has his MD (of course), the usual medical fellowships that most top cardiologists should have and he has his PhD in Electrical Engineering - perfect for a doctor who may be hooking up a pacemaker to your heart.

I was referred to Dr. Walsh by my Diabetes doctor based on an ECG. I got an appointment with Dr. Walsh in two weeks, had variety of tests done about one week later, and the tests showed a pacemaker was needed. Dr. Walsh scheduled surgery at St. Vincent's for ten days later. I got the pacemaker implanted staying overnight in the hospital. I now feel like a new man, I sleep better (around 7 hours every night as opposed to 4-6 hours before), am much more refreshed upon waking and have more energy throughout the day. To see one doctor, get referred to another, have the tests done, have surgery scheduled and a pacemaker implanted in less that 6 weeks is amazingly good care. Dr. Walsh then had a special type of modem shipped to my house which sends a history of what has happened with the pacemaker to him automatically. I am not scheduled to see him for another year if data sent by modem shows pacemaker is OK. In my opinion Dr. Walsh is a truly outstanding Doctor.

I have never had to wait very long in Dr. Walsh's office. The staff was nice except for the women in the billing department. He was backed up one day and the nurse immediately asked if I wanted to reschedule or if she just wanted me to write my prescriptions since it was only a check-up. He isn't very friendly, but if you want efficiency, he'll definately provide it for you.

Dr. Walsh and his staff treated me like one of the family. After only one visit, they remembered that I have a newborn and even asked to see him. (my husband was waiting in the waiting room) Dr. Walsh had to refer me to another Dr. for my thyroid. He called the Dr. personally while I was in his office and got me an appt. just a few hours from then. (normally it takes mths. to get into that Dr.'s office) I highly recommend Dr. Walsh.
