Some of these comments on this site are incredible. Dr. Matlock and his staff are absolutely wonderful and I have never received better care from anyone. He goes above and beyond in making sure that his patients receive the care and testing they need. And, he has NEVER been a pill pusher. That statement is absolutely false. Before my husband passed away, Dr. Matlock took fantastic care of him to ensure we made as much time as we could. He was the first one I called when my husband passed away at home. He and his staff were almost like family, although keeping everything very professional.

Don't waste your time with the arrogant doctor. Doesn't listen to patients, is rude and doesn't believe them. Unwilling to make specialty referrals even w/ appropriate history. Staff is rude, doesn't return phone calls, have terrible customer service.

I have been a patient of Dr. Matlock for 20+ years and have found the best care and knowledge in this professional. Without reservation, I would recommend Dr. Matlock to family and friends. Several reviews listed here are very misleading and indicate personal problems of the individuals. Dr. Matlock is a professional and highly regarded in his field. He has always been caring and responsive. His staff is also equally professional, caring, and responsive.

This guy has the rudest staff definately a copy of there boss. Dont return calls calls patients liars wont listen formlates a drug plan and changes it with out notice I think he is in bed with the drug companys as he prescribes the pill of the moment for all the perks they recieve. I seen him for many years and have never been treated so bad and unprofessional. Do not take your chances there are many good Dr's out there I already found one.

Dr. Matlock has been my Father's Dr for as long as I can remember and helped ot identify a serious condition, refer him to a specialist and then was by his side during the entire ordeal. He is a straight forward no nosense kind of guy, but he takes his patients care seriously. I have been going to him for the last 4 years and have not had a single bad experience. To the comment above, he questioned my colesterol as well, but for me he told me to change my diet and exercise and we would check back in 6 months. Happy to say now that I am within normal ranges.

One of the best doctors that I've had. Dr. Matlock is very attentive to my medical needs. He continously checks and adjusts my treatments to insure that my blood pressure and cholesterol are exactly where they should be. He has never schedululed me for uneeded treatments or tests like some of my past doctors and he never makes me feel uncomfortable. He is a doctor that I actually look forward to seeing because I feel that he is genuinely concerned with my well being versus just making money like some other doctors. My wife has also started seeing him and she likes him too. I would reccomend him to anyone looking for a good, sincere doctor. Odus H. Whitaker

If you want pills...this is the guy to go to. I went in for stomach pain, and all the guy would focus on is my cholesterol levels...which were borderline. I went to three other doctors for an opinion on the cholesterol and all recommended diet and exercise. This guy bullied me into taking statins despite the fact that I had serious problems with statins in the past. If I go to the doctor for an acute issue I would like attention paid to that issue...and I don't expect to be lectured about making an informed decision about a medication recommendation. This is a Doctors are God model physician
