Biography
Dr. Jill Marple was raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She attended Cherry Hill East High School where she played field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse and was inducted into the Cherry Hill East Scholar Athlete Hall of Fame. She completed her undergraduate studies, Magna Cum Laude, at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, where she majored in biology. Dr. Marple played Division 1 basketball and won Ivy League Women's Champions twice with one appearance in the NCAA tourney. She subsequently attended medical school at Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover, NH. She completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, after completing a general surgery internship at Loma Linda University Hospital in California. Dr. Marple is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and holds medical licenses in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Having spent eight years with Abington Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation Department, including 3 years as Medical Director, Dr Marple has experience caring for a variety of complex patient problems such as acute and chronic neck, back, and joint problems, spinal cord injuries, amputations, neuromuscular and neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Strokes, to name a few. She has experience managing these types of patients for issues such as gait dysfunction, spasticity, pain, and need for bracing or prostheses, as well as other orthopedic problems that arise in these patients. Dr Marple performs and interprets EMG/NCS for issues such as carpal tunnel syndrome or radiculopathies, as well as, performs a variety of joint injections for pain.
