I saw Dr. Edward's for about a year or more. I eventually had to stop seeing her because I kept getting disappointed by her lack of willingness or interest in treating me. She always seemed like she was in a rush to up my meds and end the call. Not only that, she seemed uninterested in correctly diagnosing me, but wanted to throw medications at each symptom. I struggle with really complex and confusing symptoms and I just want a psychiatrist to take the time and effort into sorting through all of the symptoms to come up with an accurate diagnosis. I had to fight her to actually verbalize a diagnosis and that wasn't because she was saying she wanted to keep learning or finding out more, she just didn't seem to think it was important.

Dr Edwards has been my most helpful psychiatrist to this date! And that is saying a lot given the fact I've moved and switched providers for over 6+ years now. She is very kind and asks the right questions but even more importantly she listens and you leave her office feeling confident in your game plan for getting back to 100% ! I put off seeing a psychiatrist despite knowing that is what I really needed. As with most of my personal experiences with healthcare providers, I expected this to be some battle where I had to fight and advocate for myself to get the help I needed. That couldn’t be anything further from what happened!

Dr. Edwards listened to me, gave feedback and overall great commentary. She expressed understanding for my situation. After our talk she came to a conclusion and picked a path for us to try. We tried a new medication and it really did not work with me, as soon as I told her she quickly chose another option without persuading me to fight through the side effects. From her willingness to listen to me about how I felt physically and mentally, she found the best options for me. And now I finally feel like myself again.

If you feel that you’re in need of a psychiatrist I absolutely recommend Dr. Edwards. She listens, she cares, and she will find what’s best for you.

I have had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Edwards on several occasions through tele health. She takes the time to listen and understand me as her patient. She truly knows a lot of mental health and medications for treating issues that I have. She has been great to talk to. She has made me feel a whole lot better as well. Thank you Dr. Edwards.

After moving, to Boise Idaho, finding the right psychiatrist for my brother was high on my priority list. My brother has needed psychiatric services for a very long time so I defiantly know the difference between good and bad doctors. Not only is Dr. Amy Edwards a wonderful Psychiatrist but she is just a genuinely nice person. That goes a very long way with me. She makes my brother feel like he is a valuable person. Not just another someone with a mental illness. We are blessed to have found her and I would highly recommend her for any psychiatric needs.

I have had Dr. Edwards for coming up on 4 years. She has always put my mentality first and has worked very hard to make sure I'm doing okay with life and my medications. She is a fantastic doctor and I would reccomend her to everyone.

I was referred to Dr. Amy Edwards of the North End Psychiatry in Boise Idaho. She was highly recommended by my primary physician. Dr. Edwards has been working with me for a condition I’ve had for over ten decades. Her treatment has included medication, lifestyle changes and counseling.
