Dr. Ackerman is an amazing physician. He performed a complete right hip replacement for me three months ago at Jupiter Hospital. It went very well. The incision is healing nicely. I’ve had multiple orthopedic surgeries as a result of Lupus & Rheumatoid Arthritis. So, I’m telling you he is by far, the best Orthopedic physician in the area. He’s kind, thorough, highly trained, and cautious in his approach. He has an excellent bed side manner. His P.A. is wonderful to work with and the staff is all very professional.

Dr. Ackerman has been my surgeon since 2018. A failed total knee replacement from 2016 deprived me of quality of life. A total knee revision became necessary. Dr. Ackerman performed the surgery in December 2023. My recovery is incredibly fast, even my physical therapist is very impressed. I'm amazed at the relief that I am feeling already. I love the fact that Dr. Ackerman, as a surgeon, is not quick to recommend surgery. He makes sure it's medically necessary after trying alternative treatments. Dr. Ackerman shows genuine & personal interest by taking time to listen & address questions of concern. He is patient & he explains clearly what's involved in your care. The office staff & atmosphere is warm, friendly and professional. I recommend Dr. Ackerman to everyone I know.

I can't even express how happy I am with my TRKR that Dr. Ackerman did on 12/26/23. I am 4 weeks Post op and doing great. My scar looks fabulous and even my PT it in shock at how much I can do already. My PT office is now referring patients to Dr. Ackerman. If I say Dr. Ackerman and his team are a 10 out 10, that is a understatment.

I can not thanks enough to Dr. Ackerman at Palm Beach Sports Medicine for the amazing job he did on my complete hip replacement.
Dr. Ackerman is an amazing surgeon (Tha Surgeon), dedicated, caring person, listen and answer all questions you have.
It is amazing how much peace you feel after talking to him.
You can not go wrong with him, I will recommend him with my eyes closed.
He cares about you, nothing else.
Also, all the Team that help him, Jeneva, Best assistant ever (Surgery assistants, nurses, PT Team, Anesthesiologists, office members, etc).
The Physical Therapy team at Palm Beach Sports Medicine are the best, Erick and Emily thanks for all the knowledge and dedication.
Will not go anywhere else.
If I have to do it again, I will, no questions ask.

Had double knee replacement Dr Ackerman was supportive of my decision to do both at the same time. Extremely knowledgeable, profesional and caring Surgery went as planned. Dr Ackerman was at the hospital everyday attentive to my post surgery needs . Excellent care before and after surgery. Staff very helpful. It has now been 6 months and I am back on the tennis courts with NO pain. It is truly amazing.

Dr Ackerman and his staff are second to none. Dr Ackerman performed a total knee replacement on me on March 7, 2023 and in 3 months I was back in the gym doing my full workouts. Dr Ackerman and his entire staff are always professional friendly and caring. In my opinion Dr Ackerman is one of the best Surgeons I have ever dealt with.

Dr. Ackerman and staff were amazing from the first consultation, surgery and recovery. My shoulder surgery was done in Oct 2022. I chose this Dr. because he was highly recommended by two friends and the fact that the PT office is in the same building as the DRs office. There has been no disconnect between Dr. Ackerman and the PT Doctors. Once when I had a unrelated problem the PT DR. sent me down the hall to be seen the same day by the DR. Recovery was slower than I anticipated but I have full range of motion and my strength has returned. I did use the ice machine for a week after the surgery 24/7. which I recommend because I had no need for pain medicine after the surgery. Dr. Eric, Dr. Emily and Dr. Ashley the PT Doctors have all been instrumental in my recovery. I dealt with not being able to raise my arm above parallel to the floor for a year and a half now I have full range of motion in all directions. I am extremely pleased with everything. If you are undecided, do not wait as long as I did. I am extremely pleased with the results, Dr. Ackerman and the PT Doctors!! Thank you, Thank You, Thank you. Tim B.

I had both my Knee's replaced; (a full replacement on both) Dr. Gary Ackerman a Harvard Graduate and Chief Orthopedic Surgeon for the Professional Baseball team The Houston Astros did both my Surgery's and he is the best! very professional and caring, and a great Surgeon who has done thousands of Surgeries; the man knows what he is doing and provides the best care working out of West Palm Beach and Jupiter, Palm Beach County Florida. His Staff is also polite and professional caring. Don't waste time with other Doctors; Doctor Ackerman is on the money; my knees work to the full limit and capacity! Also in his building Palm Beach Sports Medicine; he has three young PHD physical therapists who all work together for your best recovery, College graduates from Duke and Yale, very professional who help professional athletes return to the field. Dr. Ackerman is absolutely amazing. Hands down, the most compassionate surgeon that I have ever met. He is very thorough, and will educate you on all options, surgical and non-surgical. He has performed 2 knee surgeries on me, one of which being a partial replacement. He is patient, kind, and even takes time to make sure that you are using your crutches correctly. The office staff is also top notch, and his assistant Jeneva is the absolute best! Thanks to Dr. Ackerman, I am walking pain free, and on my way to getting back to the activities I love. I highly recommend Dr. Ackerman for your orthopedic needs.
