My mother went to doctor Greenan for wound care after foot amputations due to diabetes. She was 86 and the original surgeon had left her partial feet so that she could walk again. When her feet were completely healed, after six months plus of treatment, Dr. Greenan went ahead and re-opened the wounds (on an elderly diabetic!) so that there wouldn't be as much of a depression in her feet. This was done at Mom's request, but without the doctor advising her that this wasn't a good idea. Every other doctor I've spoken to says they would never re-open a healed wound on an elderly diabetic and if asked to do so would explain the consequences. Mom never healed before she died at 87. She spent the rest of her life in a wheelchair when she could have spent at least her last 1.5 years walking. Staying in the wheelchair contributed to muscular atrophy and weakness, bedsores (pressure wounds) which were listed as contributing factors on her death certificate. I do blame Dr. Greenan for part of this. I believe he wanted to continue to treat mom since he just got a newly renovated clinic and didn't want to lose patients. He also recommended treatments that her regular physicians said were dangerous for her, including a decompression chamber. This had already been ruled out for Mom due to her heart condition, ear problems, and claustrophobia, but since they had just gotten one at Dr. .Greenan's clinic, what a surprise that they pressured Mom to do it. I think the ethics by Dr. Greenan and his staff were very poor. I cannot recommend taking your loved ones here. They care more about profit than they do about the correct treatment. As far as punctuality? We regularly waited HOURS after the scheduled time for appointments.
