OMG! I got my mom at her appointment ten minutes early, but I ended up waiting an extra 40 minutes to see the doctor. He only spent 15 minutes with her, and he asked questions that should have already been noted by the primary doctor. The staff was horrible and lost. They don't offer the paperwork of the visit. Horrible visit.

I'm grateful for having this doctor in Corpus Christi. Not only his bedside manner is outstanding but he was able to correctly diagnose my problem and offer treatment that has resolved all of my symptoms. He is the best!

I tried everything you can imagine for migraines, including surgery on a deviated septum. I went to this doctor for help and instead of trying a migraine med, he puts me on an anti-depressant. I got another doc to prescribe a migraine med (wouldn't that be the FIRST thing one would try??) and what do you know...it works like a charm. Anti-depressents before migraine meds for migraines?

So I've had a migraine since Thursday on and off, mostly on. I've been treating it with my migraine meds at home. Yesterday I felt like I could no longer manage it and I called my neurologist. I tried talking to the front desk so they could get a fast message to the medical assistant to let her know I was needing intervention. Instead I was sent to voice mail. I got no return call. Migraine ensued all night, it was my son's birthday. I spent the evening in bed until 7 , got up, ate, later back down till nine.

I get a call from her this morning saying he approved me to get a shot and she said she was sorry that she was just now getting back to me. I had a migraine "hang over" this morning, but no migraine, so I waited to see how the day went. This afternoon it came back. So, I arranged for a driver and called to tell them I was approved for a shot earlier and was in my way. The receptionist said the doctor was about to leave at 3:45. She asked how long will it take you to get there? I said 15 min. She said hurry, but if he leaves.....you can't get the shot. So we hurried and got there around four. I called to tell them we arrived. She said I don't know if he's still here. I got to the 5th floor and they told me that the Dr. already left, so I can't get a shot. Who operates a business that way? If you look at his FB page it says always open. And what kind of a professional leaves when he knows he has a patient, in need on the way?

I'm really frustrated for wasting my time and Katie's time. So I took my home meds again which I'm not suppose to take more than three days in a row to prevent rebound headaches -- what else can I do? If it doesn't improve I'll go to urgent care when my hubby gets home. This is not the first time that I've received the delayed call back or Dr. Mendizabal has left the office early and you can't get nessessary care.
I'm a nurse. I expect and deserve better! ( so do the rest of his patients)

Terrible doctor. Not willing to listen . Almost seemed too busy for me and his only interest was prescribing more meds. His office staff was just as bad.

The doctor spent less than 3 minutes with me each visit during two visits. This was not sufficient time to take a thorough history or obtain a good understanding of my condition.

He was very thorough with me. I was very happy with his bedside manner and his knowledge on my condition. He ruled out any tumors and that made me very happy. I was extremely satisflied with his professionalism.
