This dr is impossible to get an appointment with. It took 6 months to see him the first time and over 6 weeks to get in to see him each time after that. Even after being discharged from ER I did get an appointment the next day but his office called 30 minutes prior to my appointment to say he was ill and to schedule me with another dr. Shortly after that and being discharged from the physician Regional Hospital (paperwork says see your primary doctor in 1-2 days) the network called to set up an appointment and the only 30 minute time slot (what is need for a hospital discharge) was 5 weeks and 6 days out.
While in the office he told us his staff does not schedule enough sick visit time slots.

Asks questions - has empathy and a sense of humor! Has truly helped me navigate the Medicare system- put me on a state of the art heart medicine that is working with side effects
I can tolerate easily- now helping me search for the reason for chest pain as tests showed heart blockage has stayed same- Dr Scola is also my husbands Dr - we are very pleased with his
manner & thoroughness.

Lack of concern for extreme chest congestion, prescribed Zithromax, cough suppressant pills that did nothing. Grand finale was “see you in 6 months!
Had to go to NCH immediate care two days after for the correct antibiotic ( doxycycline) and cough medicine that actually helped.
Called a week later for prescription, no call back,left for the day.
This seems to be the “HealthCare” standard of today’s “Doctors “. What a shame.
