Very happy with the treatment for last 3 years with my son. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Everyone raves about her but she is condescending to my child and acts like his parent. I do not like the tone she has with my 2 year old at all. He had a pacifier around a year and a half and she scolded him for talking with it in his mouth. Not a fan AT ALL.

never again!! I totally agree with those people who said " she is confrontational, rude, arrogant"
She is not vaccine friendly either. We went to have a titer test, and first thing she wanted to do was giving my child a shot :/, and then do the titer. Yeah...what a great idea!
I had a feeling that she tries to milk your insurance and manipulates the system . She lacks people skills, and has very little compassions. Not one smile on her face. If you are looking for the best caring pediatrician for your child, full of smiles, caring, playful, vaccine friendly, and always there for your child. Dr. Karen Federici. She is THE BEST! I know because she is being my child Dr. for 5 years now, but a change in health insurance forced us to see Schening because she was in net work. I'm telling you....I'm paying extra , but I will stick with Federici forever!

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Schening and her staff!
They are always friendly and helpful. Dr. Schening has a wonderful bedside manner and will spend as much time with you, as needed (which is a miracle when you see how busy they are). I have never once felt rushed by anyone in her office. She has always been very gentle with my son, she has been his ped since birth and he is almost 3 now, and very understanding when he is having an 'off' day. I highly recommend this pediatric office! You will not be disappointed.

This doctors visit was worst one I've ever had, I've been trying to find the right pediatrician for my baby who is more vaccine friendly, with no luck. Yes the wait time was long when I came to the office but they were short handed which I understood. The ladies in front desk were very friendly so was the nurse, Dr Shening not so much.
What I don't understand is why the doctor did not put on gloves or was not at all gentle when checking my baby's private parts. Dr Schening made my baby cry and instead of being sympathetic just kept on talking when I was trying to calm my baby down. She also told me that my baby is abnormally tall and does not scale well on her stupid chart and that if this continues she will have to make sure it's not caused by hormonal imbalanced, she ignored me when I tried to tell her she was born a big baby to begin with. I later read online that babies grow approximately 1- 1 1/2 in per month, my baby grew 4 in over 2 and a half months. That sounds pretty average to me, thanks for worrying me for nothing!! She gave me very little and very quick summary of what shots are needed and told me to go read some book. She kept asking " anything else" made me feel rushed and unimportant. I have never left a bad review for anyone before but this is my child we are talking about and I wish I never put her through that doctors visit, I recommend you don't either!

We take all of our kids here...they were all home birthed and we've never had one issue with that. Dr. Schening has always been wonderful, kind, caring, and takes the time to answer all questions. My kids have gotten unruly at times, and she doesn't bat an eye. We do not vax and they never have said anything negative or unkind regarding that decision. I love that she treats with homeopathic remedies when necessary, but when you need pharmaceuticals, she'll explain why. I love that I know she won't go prescribing meds right off the bat for every complaint. I've recommended her to many of my friends, a lot who have since switched to her. I cannot say enough good things about her, her nurses, receptionists, etc. They remember your name, remember your kids and make each visit an enjoyment.

I take my daughter to Dr. Schening and couldn't be more pleased! We had a homebirth and are antivax and Dr. Schening supports our decisions. My daughter is now 18 months old and we have seen her since my daughter was 2 months old. I changed peds from another dr to Dr. Schening and I am so glad we did! Her staff are wonderful, the nurses are super caring. Dr. Schening interacts great with my daughter! Sometimes she can be running a little behind, but I also work in an appointment based job so understand that she is not always in control of that- if a couple people are even ten minutes late that just snowballs. But I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes. She always takes the time to answer any questions I may have and is very patient with my daughter. I have recommended her to many of my friends and they now take their kids to see her as well. She is great!

Dr. Schening is a wonderful doctor, shes very helpful and caring. We bring both of our boys 1 year old and 2 year old to her, they love her. We opted to not get all of our vax's and she never batted an eye when we said that. She's very complete and kind when examing your child. Wait times can get long, but its not very common. I'd wait as long as possible to make sure Dr. Schening see's my kids.

I have brought both of my children to Dr Schening. I switched my daughter from another pediatrician 2 years ago, and have now brought my newborn to Dr. Schening. I appreciate her holistic approach to care, including homeopathics. I come to my appointments prepared with questions and she has always taken time to answer. She returned my phone call when I had an additional request too. Overall a good experience.
